Wave Runner Made By: JBARRON402 and Spikedog3 Map: Foundry Gametype:Racetracks Description: This is a very smooth interlocked racetrack. It features four banks and a jump. When you start out, you immediately find yourself zooming down a straightaway to the jump followed by the first bank. After the quick 180, you head into the second longer bank. Make another quick 180 banked turn and head through the finish line. Keep straight until you hit the 180 bridge banked turn and follow the path around back up to the top. This map was also made with an anti cheating system in place to help minimize cheating. Pics: Jump and Bank 1 Bank 2 Bank 3 and Finish Line Bridge Bank and Ramp to Top Community Spotlight: -How long did it take to create your map? It took aournd 14 or 16 hours to create Wave Runner. It took awhile to make sure everything was smooth. We did a good bit of testing while we were making it. We had a few people in the room riding it constantly. --What inspired your creation? Our genius mind inspired the creation. We just started building and coming up with what we wanted to do as we made the track. We think it turned out well. It was planned to be a quite a bit different, but maybe that can be another map. -What aspect of the map took the longest to make? The longest part to make was probably all the banks. We had it down pretty well, so it really didn't take a really long time. I would say they all took the longest. Bordering off the map is what really took the longest. Making sure the boarders fit and things didn't change the flow of the map. Download Map Link: Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing
Wow that banked turn is SIC!!! I can't wait to race my friends on this track its the best one I've seen in a while. I do think you should add more pics though.
Yeah, I agree with the looks of that one banked turn. When you get in the game it looks a lot different and is really smooth. I don't want to sound arrogant, but those banks are probably the smoothest you will ever play. We made sure that they would be like a baby's bottom. I don't know why that one won't look good, but it plays really well. About the pic, I made the pics late at night, ran out of space and was too tired to go back and make room for more.
this looks really cool my only problem is a bit of sloppyness but i don't really care cause the map is better thean the sloppyness 10/10
This looks great, but the second banked turn looks a little off. Maybe I am just seeing things, but this looks pretty fun. I'll check it out sometime. Great job 5/5.
WOW! Amazing job man. One of the best race tracks I've seen in a while. I'll definitively give it a dl, even though I'm not the race track kind of guy because it's really good. 5/5 EDIT: This deserves a feature for sure.
nice interlocking, awesome creation, good ideas... you got my download for sure, do you have a gametype to. 9.2/10
this is an awesome racetrack, love it. 5/5 everything looks sweet, the interlockings awesome, and i downloaded it, played it with a group, and loved it bro. My bad w/ the original infastracture
Rofl, you used the same template from Halotracks... You probably just copy and pasted. But I don't care, I swear... Racing maps are more complicated then most other genres of maps, I would like to see you make a competitve map with those forging skills.
Thanks guys. Come back and let me know how it plays. We did some testing, actually quite a bit, but nothing like the complete halo 3 community to help you find mistakes.
this looks like a fine race map, with great banked turns. ill download it, and take a look, i like how the track is wideer than others, gives good race capabilities
Good work. 4.9/5 (-.1 for the second banked turn being a little disfigured). Work In Progress: Runline
Everything is pretty much well done on this map except for the fact that after the finish line you can just get out and walk around on the map. My favorite part has to be the sign A turn made out of boxes.
It's as long if not longer than any other average race length on here. If you are wanting a min lap time, then I guess it is too short.
