Hello, I'm new here. I am terribly sorry if I break a few thread posting rules. I am also new to forging using the interlock technique almost everywhere, so please give me constructive criticism and please leave comments. I am a fan of the gametype tunneling and it is my pleasure to create my own map varient of this wonderful gametype The name of the map is Planet X and the gametype for it is Tunneling Link to map Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing Link to the gametype Bungie.net : Community : Forum Topic Listing : Forum Reply Listing Background story: A research expedition goes awry and a group of miners and Security Guards must protect each other in-order to reach the surface. The layout The layout of the map is maze like, although very linear. With a roof (To give the illusion of underground-ness). There are also barricades of different types blocking your path back to the surface. Barriers, crates, forklifts, fusion coils, soccer balls, and man cannons. Some are placed tricky and may require some thought as how to get around them. Also, there are no other weapons than the ones you start with. Power weapons gave the bearer too much advantage. I removed them and gave a height/distanec advantage. Hopefully this balances things out between the humans and zombies. Pictures Here is an Overview of the map, to give you an idea of how big it is. Another Overview at the opposite angle. The human spawn with swords(to mine) and BRs on the left side portion of the back hallway. The zombies spawn in the back right side portion of the hallway. With a custom power-up, as shown here. The doorway connecting the two hallways is a good choke-point for the humans to defend. The first barricade you meet is rather easy, I recommend hitting it to open it like a door. There is a teleporter right behind the photo, it leads the humans into the next room. There are two teleporters in an attempt to stop blocking with minimum costs. This is also another good choke-point for humans to defend. Another example of the barricades An example of how the crates will come into play. The forklifts are easy to push, but if you get aggressive, it will explode. Like how this one zombie learned the hard way... Which caused another zombie to jump for safety! This is all that I have to show. The man cannons, the fusion coils, and some more examples of crates and barriers, are for you to find out. Once again, it is my pleasure to bring this map variant "Planet X" of the gametype "Tunneling" I do hope that all of you that download, rated, commented and left constructive criticism enjoyed it. EDIT: Oops. linked to my fileshare, just remembered that's a no-no >.> Edit2: Made the pics bigger, and added the link to the gametype. Sorriez
looks like a very well put together infection map! but i think u might have to resize the pics to a bigger size but other thn tht it looks great! Oh and welcome to FH!
dont use thumbnail pictures people hate clicking on links to see the picture and nobody else say make the pic bigger if you do i will report you so stop say it it is very annoying thank you where is link to gametype
u need to post to make the pics bigger, to do that, u need to copy and paste the IMG code of the pic, which can be found at the bottom of the page when u click the thumbnail well, welcome to forgehub
Alright, I made the pictures bigger. Hopefully they're big enough. For some reason my computer wanted to fight today.... I won.... after like an hour ;_;
these maps make me so frustrated when the zombies are low heath (one shot kill), you spend all this time running through the maze untill theres a path of like 5 crouched zombies all loaded with power weapons, and you can never win lol
Heh. The first tunneling map I played on had power weapons for the lucky surviving humans that made it to the end, sometimes it was impossible to take them down. So in my map I removed the power weapons, but instead gave a distance/height advatange. (I hope that balances things out)
really annoyin on those when ppl betray you and you have to start at the beginning wit the zombies. But otherwise, I like these map types.
