Who has a Zune? I bought the Halo 3 special edition one about 4 months ago and I love it. I'd seriously take it over any iPod (yes, even the touch). I think the best thing about it is how it is almost scratch proof. I only have one scratch on it so far and it's barely visible.
I love my zune, I want a second edition :-( I have had mine for about a year and a half, I love it I have no scratches on it and the functionality of the zune with my xbox and everything else just seems much better to me. With the latest update and wireless syncing I never even have to take it out of my car. It auto syncs to my computer and gets all my new music it is awesome! -Donuts
Yea, the new update kicks ass. I love being able to see what people on my friends list listen too. There's this one guy that listens to like Japanese Death metal, it's pretty funny. I don't think I'm going to get a 2nd gen one though. They seem pretty much the same but they have a different click wheel and less memory I think.
There is the 30G version, the size is much smaller and is smoother, and the touch wheel thing. -Donuts
Guys. Zunes are just soooo big and soooooo bulky. But iPods are soooo compact and soooooo sexy. Microsoft is like "GUYS I'M STARVING LET'S GET SOME DONUTS AND EAT THEM ALL" And Apple is all "Nope, sorry. I'll just have a salad, gotta prepare for my big photoshoot tomorrow. I'll see you at the afterparty, I'll be sooo drunk you boys will probably have your way with me and I won't remember a bit of it. Toodle-oo!" It's like THAT.
The Zune, after hearing how it functions, is a POS. I mean, its probably alright portability wise and battery wise, but the way songs work on the thing is just completely idiotic. I also don't know if the Zune can act as a portable HDD. If it can then kudos, if it can't then one more for the iPod.
I've had iPods for a while now, and I'm not about to change, but I'm not gonna judge the Zune until I use one. I've heard they're great and that they're horrid. So all I'm going to say is that I'm perfectly happy with my iPod.
I used both and i got to say that i like the way the zune is set up. And it has the whole wirerless trading and the wirerless snyc with your xbox and pc.
I got my Halo 2 Zune the day it came out. About those scratches, all my Halo 3 graphics on the back are almost completely scratched off. Other than the battery life.... Zune > iPod
I have a zune, and I like it, to an extant... what I hate about it is, I can't add any music to it... I have an xp but it won't download the software. I hate the software, I wish I could use I tunes, WMP or simply open a folder for the usb. I always get error codes, when I do try to add songs at a friends house... I would love it if it worked... I like the screen, I have but one scratch. Somehow dirt or dust did manage to get in my screen... Blah! Radio is awesome, and the social aspect is really cool. Zune over ipod, if you have all the proper software and the patience to go through all the error codes you can get.
people people. lets not start a flame war over which mp3 player is better, but i will say this, the ipod is like your old, reliable, and HEAVY girlfriend, while the zune if the girl your having an afair with, its new, its fun, and is light. so comes your choice, take a chance and have fun, or play it safe and be bored out of your mind?
There is actually a hack in which you can use your Zune as a portable hard drive. I actually love the way it functions, it's a lot different from the iPod's GUI and it seems smoother and more slick.
I am gunna wait for the Zune 3.0, as it could have a phone/wi-fi ability enabled. which is awesome! and I just bought a 3000 dollar laptop, so I am gunna wait
i got the halo 3 zune and i like it. i broke the first one when i have riding bikes and now im on my second one. but they realy are way to big.
