OK well i have an idea and i was wondering if you hit the ball with a hammer at someone and they get hit, will they die if the only have 10 damage resistance or something that will kill them pretty much instantly. I know its a stupid question but i cant plaay right now and i want to know if its possible.
I have never seen anyone get killed by the impact of a soccer ball, but I wouldn't doubt that it is possible.
I know soccer balls can inflict damage, but I don't think that after being hit by a grav hammer they'll hurt someone.
if the damage resistance was low enough, i'm pretty sure it would work. on a map i have if they bounce off of shield doors then hit me, my health bar will start blinking (100% resistance) so probably
unless they are standing right next to the ball when the ball is hit the grav hammer is not strong enough
Bouncing off of shield doors doesn't kill, even with 10%. I tried before. It made my minigame not work. To combat this, I exchanged it with a mongoose. Fun.
I think Bungie made it so soccer balls will lower your shields, but never kill you. To make things "easier" I imagine.
No they will kill you, but they require about 2-3Xs more velocity than any other object to kill you. I know this cuz Railguns can kill with soccerballs on regular DR (damage resistance for the nubs that don't know).

You can get them to kill pretty easily if you just setup your gametype so that they will be on fire. That's what I did for one of my minigames.
