It was the year 2500, when the ALPHA team of the human race held a supposedly indrestuctable zombie species, Gralle, the last one of its kind, in a containment room. Team ALBATROSS was on their way to pick up some supplies for earth, but they did not know what sat eating away at their ship for many years... Until they crashed on the edge of the ALPHA site. They were now held up until another team came to pick them up and haul them back. Over the radio that was left intact came startling voices from one of the teams on earth... The Gralle had multiplied and found their way into one of the ships heading to earth before being forced into the room. Earth could destroy them in time, but told the stranded team they had to wait 5 hours. But they didnt know a part of the ship had decimated one of the devices holding the Gralle in... They hurried to a depot in wait, only to be stormed by a Gralle capable of taking over its victims. Overview The last Gralle must be held off for 5 minutes, and the round ends, you are saved. But get killed, and you can be a Gralle yourself. Hide in the rubbish of the ship left behind, or find a base to protect yourself. This is Part 1 of 3 Parts, all of which are a different kind of infection. Either live long, or live forever undead. Gametype One person starts out as a Gralle, and must wait in a containment room for 30 seconds. Your cue to attack will be when you hear a loud booming noise and a fusion coil spawns next to the teleport. The first Gralle is as fast as a human, and is white with a sword and shotgun. The rest after get just a sword and are as fast and gravityless as possible, but are pink. They all die by one hit. Humans are blue or black in color, (Lol I forgot, but dont feel like checking.) and are normal at everything, except start off with any weapon at random. If you dont like your weapon, find one scattered around and hide among the base structures. The game starts off with a juicy effect, and at 4 minutes a nova effect comes in. Us the 30 seconds the zombie is contained to your advantage. Humans start out by the depot, but when they die by falling off the map or suicide, they spawn in the spawning room. There is a teleport in the back that can send you to any five of the seven bases, but beware, spawning in there can be a quick spawn kill for a zombie, and the teleport can send you right into a zombie hourde. Zombies spawn anywhere on the right side of the map to prevent spawn killing. Description There are seven bases, a hourglass shaped base, a crashed remains of a ship, a small depot, a large arm base, a camping base (You know it...), a base with a cannon man shooting you to a small platform base, and the massive Nuclear Heating structure, that goes up as high as the map is, has 3 turrets, small landing with a few vehicles, an immovable scorpion useful for a big turret, a sniper perch, and a chute leading up to it. There is also a hidden teleport for the zombies to get up to the top and fall down on the turretmen, so it is best to have someone kill zombies coming throught the teleport up there. There are different weapons and equipment scattered all across the map. Pictures This is the crashed remains of the ship, but most has fallen off the edge. As you see, parts and weapons are scattered about, and could be a good last minute hiding spot. This is a closer view: This is the depot, where the humans spawn at, and has 1 turret, and a few vehicles if you do not want to stay and wish to find a newer, better base. This is a view of the open boxe's inside and the back: This is the hourglass shaped base, most likely used for storing power to be sent to the heater, but also has a gravity hammer near the base. This is the lower section with the gravity hammer: This is the arm-like base with a platform on top for picking off enemies below. The Gralle do not spawn behind it. This is the view of the platform on top: This is the Camping base that can be very dangerous for the last minute, since you cant see the zombies, and the man cannon base in the background with "stairs" leading up the the top. This is a closer look at the Man-cannon base: This is the small platform base reached by using the cannon man base. Its very good for taking care off Gralle the guys on the large heater missed. I saved the best base for last, the massive heating system, with the crashed remains in the background. This is the front view with the immovable scorpion on the boxes, the small vehicle depot, and the chute leading up to the heater base: This is a closer view of the immovable scorpion and the middle level with the turrets: This is the top level with the aestethetic construct like structure, the exit for the chute, the 3 turrets, and the sniper perch on top: Sorry I cant show you how the chute works, or I'll run out of room for more pics. If the humans are suicidal or killed by their buddies, they respawn in this risky room with a instant respawn powerup that does nothing. Just for decor. If you noticed all those teleports everywhere, those are the 5 random teleports used by the one in the back of this room: This is where the zombies come out after 30 seconds, when a fusion coil falls and blows the boxes away. I didnt show the zombie spawn, since I dont have enough pics to show it too, and its just a room like the human spawn covered by an energy blocker with a teleport in the back, Nothing special. Heres the zombies ticket out: All I can tell you about the teleport up to the sniper perch, just follow this tunnel and you will find it: And this is the teleport in the back riiiiiiiiiiight here: Comments Remember, I will be coming out with parts 2 and 3, which are the same story but different parts. I havent planned the 3rd yet, but the second you actually have to KILL the Gralle. Otherwise, just wait a week maybe and itll be here. Enjoy to map. Yeah it looks pretty good. Nice to have a story to go along with it. I'm waiting for the the other two... but this one looks pretty good. 3/5. nicely done.
Oooo, looks fun and that was a really good story plot. One of the best one I've seen in a while, the map could have been a bit neater though, and the remains of the ship don't look like a ship.
it looks random very random nearlly as random as my dad map any way i would normally say more cover but that is kinda stupid to say that nice map 3.5/5 and i rate my own maps it will then get more views
first off, i actually didnt know how to close the option thing to see it, and I wouldnt rate my own map bad =P and also, ur dad map got a lot of views and was liked alot lol. One more thing, who says I'm not random? muhahahahahaha.
this map could use a lot of cleaninging up and a ton of interlocking. this would probobly make this a better recived map
ughh... i HATE when people say stuff like that. it's like you're basing your entire opinion of the map on whether or not it has interlocking. its a kool trick, very useful, and very clean. but when did it become a neccessity? isn't playability more important than freakin interlocking? it looks like his map geometry would play very well, so there. personally, i'm not sure i like the humans spawning with random weapons. it seems a little unbalanced, but i could be wrong. i'll have to try it. 4/5 for now
this map looks very large i like how you used the whole map for your variant but i feel that it didn't take much time and that you need to use some more advanced forging techinques to give off the effect you're going for
I don't have legendary map pack so no D/L soz, but fro mthe pics I would rate 4/5 Who cares about interlocking- it isn't necessary to mkae a good map, it just can be helpful, or add to the map aesthetically. Anyway i think you put quite a bit of effort into it, and it isn't every day that there is a story to the game as well, not just 'shoot all teh zombies'.
There is some interlocking in the map, like on the big grey head like thing on the heater, on the bottom where the chute is, on top of where the scorpion is, the big hourglass base, and a couple other spots have interlocking. Its just that I ran out of pics (25 max) to show it... But thanks for the good comments.
