I don't think this has been posted before (I tried to search for it but found nothing), but sorry if it has. I didn't make this. Very well made guide that includes full lists of objects for each map. Pretty useful when you want to pre-design a map. Forge Object List Written by "Weremidget"
Moving Quicker as the Monitor: Quite often you'll find you wanna move quickly as the Monitor. Say, from one base on Valhalla to the other. Most people will just squeeze the left trigger and take their wireless controllers to the bathroom for a minute or so. There is an easier way! To move quicker as the Monitor, aim down - as in straight at the ground, thrust, and hold down a bumper. The bumper's move the Monitor in the direction that either its top or its bottom is facing, so if you aim at the ground, then your top is facing forwards in the direction you want to go. Trust me, it's quicker. Cool, didn't know
Stickied!!! Very good guide, great for predesign as you said. And like I said I own this forum section...
Cool! I was hoping this would get stickied. I have been using it to make maps w/o even turning on the game. Just wanted to point out it is NOT my guide. Credit should be given to a guy named "Weremidget" But I'll take credit for showing everyone ;D
Can someone like copy and paste the whole document somewhere... I can't access gamefaqs from work... I will delete the post after you copy and paste it...
I knew most of the tricks on that guide from FH. I mean, I never bothered learning about floating objects or dropping fusion coils or anything like that before this. That monitor speed thing I did know however.
This guide is useful for predesign! I just get a heatmap and put it on paint, then I use this guide to design out the map so that when I get on my x-box I can just get right to it! Thanks, am I the only person who did not know that monitor speed trick!? Well, thanks for that aswell... It should come in handy.
Uhhh... Hey guys. Yeah the Speed trick isn't really a trick, and it's been summarized differently since the first version of the Guide went up. Basically, like I said, the Up and Down from the Bumpers is relative to the direction the Monitor is facing. So if you're facing straight down, then using the left bumper will move you backwards, and the right one forwards. If you combine this with the Left Trigger you can move a fair bit quicker than just facing straight in one direction and holding in the trigger. I'm glad you guys found the weapon list helpful, it sure as hell took ages to type up.
