Re: Lion's Den MLG This looks like fun map to play for 1v1 but I can't see myself playing this map over and over. This is an interesting design but I don't like how you left a lot of open space. If people got the lead they might decide to hide and pass the time. Good work though.
Re: Lion's Den MLG I think it looks more open than it is because the wall was removed to take screenshots. It actually looks quite cramped and chaotic. Queued for DL.
Re: Lion's Den MLG Glad a few of you have tried it and seem to like it. I'm interested whether any of you who have played it feel that it is indeed too open? It's my opinion that the many angles provide ample cover and escape opportunities, but that's just me and I am attempting to make this a first rate competitive team slayer map. Does this site feature MLG oriented maps or is it mostly geared towards more conventional slayer? Thanks for the feed back and once again I hope you enjoy the map.
Re: Lion's Den MLG This site is not necessarily anti-MLG but we are geared towards fun wether that be competitive, or casual/mini games. I hope that isn't false advertisement since I'm a nobody here, but that is the vibe I get. Very rarely do you hear people talk about matchmaking or skill level in Halo here, it seems people are more concerned with forging fun maps to play. This map looks pretty cool; I will have to check it out since I enjoy mid-long range (MLG style).
Re: Lion's Den MLG Oh I know that the majority of maps here are geared to standard team slayer, and in fact this map is a variant of the original Lion's Den which features a more diverse weapon selection.
Re: Lion's Den MLG I haven't played any games on this map yet, but I walked around it and had a fly through. It definitely isn't as open as it looks on the screenshots and had plenty of nooks and escape routes. If anything it is possibly a little too cramped for BR starts, which is unusual for me to say as I always prefer BR starts! I really want to try out some games on this map, so if I can get some players together I'll give it a proper go. Otherwise, good work
Re: Lion's Den MLG Real fun to play with your a small group. We always had a close game and never had an imbalance. The top level makes it feel not cramped so get up there with a BR. Its pretty good once you understand all of the teleporters and how to get around real quick. This is a great change to those normal long range BR fights. Makes a real fast pace game where you must be alert to win the match.
