Looks like you just joined this month... and this is your first post... and you're linking to a executable file... which can easily contain a Trojan Horse computer virus. Ummm, thanks, but hell no.

Very true, and your screename is hardly reassuring either. I can't see anyone taking this seriously. If there was such a file then Bungie would talk about it. Plus, how can it know what gametypes etc a map is set up for? There's no way to access the actual files on a computer without hacking the Bungie servers, which I can't say I'm in favour of.
Also, if you are an old member, can I ask what your old account is called?

Yes, we can compare the IP addresses.

Not welcoming only because people don't like downloading computer viruses.

People on this site are pretty welcoming, its a good community.
You can't really blame people for being suspicious of a random file download from what appears to be a new user, this is the internet after all.

If this is genuine then can I ask what exactly it does? What kind of filters does it provide?

I'm with you sarge, but it might be worth letting him post this pic he talks about, just to see.

EDIT: I post too slow.... what does everyone reckon? This looks a little odd to me, and could still be a sabotage program of some kind just with a convincing skin.
We may sound paranoid here, but we can't have a thread that contains a virus, its just not on.

Well, I'll leave it in your hands. I gotta go to bed.

But if I can be accused of being unwelcoming, I can also be accused of protecting our members from possible computer viruses. So there.

I'm not trying to have a go at you here, but you have to admit that the internet is rife with this kind of thing, the vast majority of which do turn out to be viruses.
I'm also a little hazy as to what the point of it is, isn't it just a glorified key word search, something that can be done on Bungie.net forums anyway?
