Map Title: Warehouse v1 Enter the Warhouse... Description: This is my first map post here but my third competitive map. This is also the first map that i used interlocking on. I will probably get to post my other 2 if I have time to update them. Now onto the map. Warehouse is a symmetrical map with 2 bases and 2 sniper towers/garages. My idea was to have 2 bases like in Valhalla and 2 sniper towers like the ones in The Pit. This map is best for 4-10 players. well that was a waste of 3 posts on a map. lol about the map tho. i didn't c any interlocking throughout the pics u posted. if there was some and i missed it... my bad. but most maps that r featured or r at all decent have interlocking in them. there r some good tuts on how to if u dont kno how, and some that will actually tell u how to make guides so the interlock turns out clean. this map also doesn't really stick out for me with ne uniqueness. but nice first post on a map here. i dont c ne problems with the post at all kudos
i actually only used interlocking on small things like the bridges on the roof and some of the walls just to make em look cleaner. i jus learned about interlocking and geoglitching and will start to practice more
I like simple maps like this, and for your first map post, it's pretty good. 3/5 for effort. Also, nice use of the bases.
The map seems... open. Plus there is alot of unused space and there's no... flow to the map. I don't really like it. The houses are nice though
Houses. Bleaargh. Still, this is more than just houses (which I despise) so IMO I think it looks pretty damn good! better than all those crappy mansions, or villiages. Noone puts modern day architecture into the forge. You did. Well done.
Lol, i was **** scared when i first saw the map name, i thought you might have stolen a map i haven't posted yet - but you didn't . Onto the serious things now. The bases in the map are quite good in fact. I haven't seen one like this but it's incredibly simple and probably effective. The other structures in the map are nicely made and not scruffy too. Some things i would suggest though are: - If you have a turret (or 2) provide more cover for enemies - remove shield doors protecting energy sword as it encourages caming Other than that, its a mighty fine map, well done
looks pretty good, a cool layout and looks big and fun, but some places could hav more cover besides that looks playable but a v2 would b a gd idea
TBH, when I saw the map name I was all like *GROAN*, but this map actually looks fun. Great first post, but like Hazza said, get rid of the shield doors or people will camp the hell out of that area. If you want cover for the guy grabbing the sword, maybe put some doors on their side or something like that.
Looks really nice, although I really don't know how good the gameplay is going to be on it. There is really not enough cover for a CTF game, and the turrets overpower the bases. Although overall this map gets a 4/5, but I think you should rethink it a little.... 4/5
Looks good for a first map. You obviously have some insight as to what makes a solid map, and i can't wait until I see what you can do with advanced forge techniques. I most be honest though, its not a download for me. If your next map has the gameplay you've shown you know how to create here with some more advanced building, then sure, I will download + Rep
thanks for the replies guys so as of now i will probably: -add more cover -move the snipers -take out shield doors -and change the name to something more exciting
