DOWNLOAD MAP HERE DOWNLOAD GAME VARIANT Download my other racing map "Halo Street"_________________________________________________ Race FeaturesWelcome to Need For Cheif an awesome race map made in foundry using forge by myself OR GUN DUCKS. This map has several great features like: A 40 degree banked turn Shield doors to assist turning and speed up the map Anti cheating goal placement Penalty box for cheaters Easy to follow race track And Starting lights _________________________________________________ Race Description The race starts off with some racing lights with yellow lights spawning at 10 seconds and blue at 20 seconds (blue means go). After starting the players take a quick turn and go into a long straightaway with a hairpin turn at the end, and for advance drivers a great turn will bounce them straight of a placed shield door and give them a speed boost. Then players go into turn three a 40 degree banked turn that is also mostly in a tunnel. After turn three comes the hardest turn of the course which if done correctly will give you a big advantages over other drivers. Then players go up to a second level that has shield doors on one side that keep the race fast paced until the racers go down back to the second level where they have to make an extremly sharp turn so they can sprint the last short straightaway to the finish line. _________________________________________________ Pictures TURN 1 TURN 2 TURN 3 TURN 4 TURN 5 TURN 6 Shield door straightaway Finish line Penalty box Banked turn Coming out of turn three
Is this run in rounds? Other than that question I like this along with your other race map "Halo Street". Good work.
The gametype is not set up for rounds but it can easily be changed to have rounds also thanks for the compliment
Yeah when me and my friends play we don't wait for the lights we just go but its there for people who would like to feel a more legit racing experience
it seems like everyone is using the bungie 500's anti cheating method but if you want to race you shouldnt cheat anyways if you're gonna play a game with honor rules and cheat then you should just play a different game
Honestly this map doesnt need the bungie 500 style penalty box because there is no way to walk or jump to the goal point without walking all the way around the map so you better in a mongoose anyways but people seem to like the idea and not everyone is going to play with my gametype (it is possible to walk to the goal point faster than a mongoose if you play with regular gravity(gravity does not effect mongoose jumping)). I know that because my halo street map had 150 downloads but the gametype only had 20 so i just put the penalty box there for those who play without the gametype.
That's fine, but if you're like me, you don't always know the people who are in your party, and all it takes is one person to ruin it for everyone. I've used the penalty box idea on all my tracks, and I wouldn't make one without it. I think when you make a game that you can't cheat at, it makes it way more legitimate. Think Grifball would have caught on if it required honor rules? Got this queued, looks pretty good. That starting lights idea is a pretty cool, even if it's just a gimmick. Edit: I liked it. The banked turn is well done, and the rest of track is fairly simple, but it should make for good races. My only small gripe is the placement of the shield doors that are supposed to assist turning. It seemed like they were always in places that I didn't hit, and were nowhere to be found in places that I did. Of course, maybe it's just my driving.
i havent seen a race map where the mongooses spawn after a certain amount of time. you could make them spawn when the lights say go. also, make it a vip with a checkpoint at the end for a finish line that ends the game. its an idea you could do, but they're you maps. if you have these things applied to your maps, please say so :squirrel_chatting:.
The mongoose spawn thing is a pretty good idea but i maybe should spawn them at the yellow light also another thing that i was experimenting with earlier is to spawn some dumpsters in a fence box above the starting lights but make the dumpsters spawn at start and the fence box to spawn at ten seconds and when the blue light spawns the dumpster should disapear. The reason it was not implemented on the map is that some people get frustrated waiting twenty seconds but i may think of coming out with another version of the map. Also the gametype is vip and there is a checkpoint at the end of the circuit
love the map style and the fence wall idea was pure genius for those avid forge inventors like myself, keep up the good work.
Sweet map Did you come up with the idea of the race lights on your own or did you look at my map Race Day for inspiration?
Starting lights came from a forge tip website back when i could only make race maps on last resort and i figured i used em in all my maps since
looks good, just I would not like to wait 20 seconds to start, and that area with all the bridges, though interlocked, looks very uneven and rough...
