yeah it looks great and really neat. One question, won't the mancannon to the sniper tower thing make noise when people go up it, or is that the point?
Looks really nice. Well thought-out concept, and like the 4 floors idea. Good idea on giving cover to the first level so snipers can't camp. DL from chrome, but overall nice job.
Absolutely amazing. Well done. One of the best maps I have ever seen made for play on foundry. The Sniper Area is genius. The only thing i would change is the two turrets. If youve played teh pit, You can see why they space them so much where they cant put effective damage on a targe from that distance. this is pwnage for one. Battle rifle in the face for the other one.
Yeah it will make noise so I can understand that after hearing the noise of it players would turn their attention towards both of the Sniper lofts. I found myself not able to depict which one was triggered because by the time I turned around they were always gone! :squirrel_wink: Battle Rifles are also located up there so that Snipers don't get hammered by fire. I previously thought of placing the turrets on the third floor but I wanted to place the turrets somewhere where they could see the opposing base. I see what you are saying however, thats a good point. But when I thought about The Pit, I realized that the turrets were useful in scenarios such as a one Wicked One and I encounter. First we set up a game for CTF on Altercation. Then we encountered a situation where the other team had gotten ahold of our flag and was running up the stairs to score. Someone on our team got on the turret where they were able to kill the flag carrier and hold off any enemies who tried to bring it closer to being scored. This is why I felt the turret placement would help complement team games and scenarios such as this one. Thank you all for the feedback.
looks fancy, and by fancy i mean cool... in a manly way... yeah... lol Judging by the amount of time it probably took you to post this thing, and the 10 squibillion hours you spent making it. I feel its my responsibility as a human to at least try the map... It does look really good though, i must say. If you ever want a 3rd partner, I'd be down to help out. Shadowsniper, I believe you've already played one of my maps, or at least just commented on it. It was the "Wraithwar" map, so you know what i can do... Anyway, queued for DL... nice work. Rizzle C
Thanks for all the positive feedback. Yes, ShadowSnip3r and I thought about this when placing the turrets. Because of their placement it is easy to pick people off on opposing 3rd floors, but quite difficult on other floors. This prevents people from noobing it up and staying on the turret just mowing down everyone, while at the same time it gives both sides an opportunity for a last ditch flag save.
This is not another bump to the front page. If you have seen the post in Forge Discussion about a supposed "map theif", you would know that Wicked One and I's map Altercation has already been stolen. Same with the map Spillways created by Stolenpoo. So I would just like the chance to say we are the original map creators of Altercation, and if someone by the name of Luke562 claims he is the creator, he is nothing but a theif.

Don't worry, he'll be no match for the hitman I sent out for him. I've never heard of this new hitman I got but he's supposed to be pretty good. His name is Jason Bourne. Anyone ever heard of him? Anyway, don't worry we won't have to deal with the Luke guy for much longer. Just kidding of course. In other news, I haven't heard of any other theft, which is good. I also relieved some stress concerning this issue. I have yet to see Luke562 be put on the blacklist on the ForgeHub Community Watch thread however, which is a bit displeasing to me so if anyone could get on top of that, it would be the least you could do since nothing has been done to lighten the issue. this is in my opinion a very good map, my only peeves with it after trying it out are that it is not too great for FFA and the teleporter to the rocket corridor, with its randomness bugs me a little. However, I love the asymmetrical symmetry of it and the way the two bases interact.
I'm glad you liked the map. This map was really made for team games on opposing bases. We decided to add in FFA for an added bonus, but we didn't really have the funding to make it a great team and FFA map. As for the teleporters, we made them random in order to eliminate camping by the teleporters.
Good job on this sweet map! The multiple floors are a very cool feature that actually live up to what you say.
