The Dig Created by BlitzkriegRecon Supported Gametypes: - INFECTION - FFA Map Description The name of my 3rd map is The Dig. The story behind it is there were scientist digging up an ancient Forerunner burial ground looking for artifacts and what they found was... My map was MADE for infection prefferably Save One Bullet if you don't like my gametype. I used a lot of map Geomerging and regular merging. Don't worry about spawn kills because the Zombies have health and dont spawn in the same place in the "crater". I hope you enjoy my map i think it is my best BY far. your map needs way more pictures so we can actually see what it looks like. also i think i see an armory which is a bad idea if you want a fair infection gametype.
Uh ya, i can sort of see why its a dig site, but at least you geomerged! I almost never do =(. But ya, probably more pics...
the armory is very basic with no power weapons also the "zombies" have health and there are two to begin with and respawn in random areas in the "crater". also i created lots of "nooks and crannies" lol for the "zombies" to hide in the "crater". 1 more thing i only covered half the map for suspense but if you wanna ruin the suprise i made a link to a revealing picture of the crater
I can't tell alot out of the pictures, but this is open and that's too open for infection, though I think the geo-merging is great.
FYI just because there is merging doesn't mean it looks good. Though you did make it sort of look like a digsite. Maybe if you used another map like... Standoff or Avalanche it would look much better. Yeah and get rid of the armory... please... thank you . Oh yeah good job on the geomerging.
I think that incorperating advanced forging techniques such as geomerging and interlocking is a great asset for maps, so you get props for that. On a negative note, armories, even ones lacking major power weapons are a big no-no, and what separates good infection maps from the bad. Also, many players feel infection maps are more enjoyable when they are more confined rather than open. Well done, just take out the armories and add more area/cover to the map and it's good to go. I look forward to seeing a V2 if you decide to make one!
what is it with armories now they are in loads of maps but i also think you need an overview of the map to get the real feel
The map looks really good near the crater, but what's up with the wall that blocks you from the rest of foundry? It looks really unprofessional and ugly... I would also recommend to make more pics. But I will download and try this out.
