I'm new, this place seems really cool, and I'd like to get into the "custom nights" thing, but this whole thing is really overwhelming. I really like the idea of customs, but every time I go into a custom game it's always that **** infection crap. I hate infection. Why doesn't anyone play Slayer or CTF anymore? Anyway, do a lot of people attend these custom nights? And are they usually not infection? And are they really that fun? It seems pretty confusing with these sign up sheets and stuff...
lol, most people here dislike infection. You'll fit right in. Most of the maps on the nights are featured and most featured maps aren't infection.
or if they are infection they arnt typical zombie hoards it is weird I.E. Hobo heights orDuck Hunt Jenga Tower
TGIF 10 had only like one infection game (at least in the party I was in). The rest were a mix. There are a lot of decent maps that aren't infection. And yeah, sometimes when I'm bored, I go find a custom game via friends/recent players list and they almost always play infection in custom matches. If I get party leader, I change it to CTF, Slayer, or something else and the people get mad, they delay, and leave. Zombies was fun in Halo 2 and it still is, but it's overplayed in custom games. But yeah, the reason a lot of custom games don't have slayer and just infection is because everything else is in matchmaking.
i hope you feel welcomed to forgehub and sadly you missed the signups for TGIF but another one will come every other friday. mini game infection games are fun to play in TGIF and we usally play something competitive. in TGIF you are pretty much garanteed to play lost chamber which is a really fun infection game and i promise you will like it, if you dont then you trully hate infection games. i hope you enjoy your stay at forgehub.
Hello, welcome to forgehub. I also sort of hate infection. That is a mark of true skill. Those of us who would rather play territories than infection are far superior.
Personally, I rarely get Infection, but the times I do ROCK! The include: A house with a door that spawns after a bit so the zombies have to climb to the roof to break in, a fortress defense and a map where you have to break through a maze whilst being chased by a slow juggernaut with a hammer. I very rarely fine zombie games that fail. Though I do love the rest of the modes.
Welcome to Forgehub. Like a poster said above, not many infection games are played here and most infection maps usually don't make the cut for getting good remarks. Also, if you're ever interested in getting a group around for a custom game, look no further, you can do this here.
Well, is it hard to get a group that will play with me? That will actually communicate and plan out tactics and stuff? Usually when I try to do that in MM I just get some guy saying something to the effect of, "How about we don't?" followed by a ten-year-old's giggles. And I don't know what I was talking about. I just heard all this stuff about sign-ups to do customs. I just want to play some really good non-infection customs without the rules and map (excluding foundry) customized in a very bad manner.
