Cold Storage is a remake of the map from Halo 3 "Chill Out" This map was released on Bungie Day, (7.7.08) The map is free and always be free, so you can download it anytime you want.

The Cold Storage map will be apart of the Legendary Map Pack. That means, that the playlists that require all DLC Maps will need Cold Storage. And no, Cold Storage does "NOT" come with the Legendary Map Pack, you need to download them separately.

Cold Storage is a FFA map. It is excellent for 4-8 players. The Cold Storage map comes with many game types, including, Rockets, Slayer, Braaains, Fiesta and more.

Update: (Cold Storage Game Types)

• Slayer (16.3%) - Score points by killing other players. First player to 25 points wins. 10 minute match time limit.
• Slayer BRs (14%) - Score points by killing other players. First player to 25 points wins. Players spawn with Battle Rifles and Assault Rifles. 10 minute match time limit.
• Rockets (11.6%) - Score points by killing other players. First player to 25 points wins. Players spawn with Rocket Launchers. 10 minute match time limit.
• Swords (11.6%) - Score points by killing other players. First player to 25 points wins. Players spawn with Energy Swords. Player traits: Weapon Pickup, cannot ride or drive in vehicles. Map traits: No grenades. 10 minute match time limit.
• Fiesta (11.6%) - Score points by killing other players. Players spawn with random primary and secondary weapons. Player traits: Infinite ammo, no weapon pickups. First player to 25 points wins. 10 minute match time limit.
• Braaaains (11.6%) - Consume the brains of the living. Humans spawn with shotguns and magnums, and cannot pick up ammo. Zombies spawn with energy swords, have 75% gravity, and no energy shields. A random 25% of players will start as zombies at the beginning of each round.
• Oddball (11.6%) - Hold the skull to earn points. First player to 50 points wins. 10 minute match time limit.
• Crazy King (11.6%) - Stand in the hill to earn points. First player to 100 points wins. Hill traits: Moves to a random location every 30 seconds. 10 minute match time limit.

 

Yeah, its fast paced. As soon as you respwan, your in action. As you respawn about 25m from someone else.
