    Map Title: BOMBS AWAY

    Download Map

    Description:
Ok, this is my second submission to the board. For this one I wanted it to be action packed. I wanted almost a war field feel to it. I wanted people to run around the map and feel like they have to take cover, watch their step, and that around any turn there could be death from out of nowhere. I am happy to say that I feel like I have accomplished that.

The first thing you will see or hear when the match starts is pure carnage and damage. when you look around you will immediately notice the Fusion Coil Cannons. They are a series of 6 cannons placed around the square pit of death that shoot Coils out every 10,20,and 30 seconds. Also, every 30 seconds of respawn brings up a set of about 20-30 or so Fusion Coils and Propane tanks. As soon as a cannonball Coil hits these you better watch out because if you are like me you may end up lodged in the ceiling.

The overall shaping of the map is pretty basic. I hate to disappoint all the people on here that demand new shapes and interesting design, but thats not what I designed here.

The weapon/vehicle/grenade selection is pretty basic, but powerful. It consists of battle rifles, shot guns,a sniper rifle,a rocket launcher(sniper and launcher are located on the opposing housings that carry the grav lifts that toss you across the map),gravity hammer, energy sword,2 turrets, frag, flame, and sticky frags. There's also 2 overshields(you'll need 'em) and an invisability in the back hallway connecting the 2 bases. The setup outside of the pit of death is simultaneously claustrophobic and tactically open. the left and right side of the map are closed up hallways, while the front and the back are open enclosures housing the battle rifle and shotgun and a few barriers for cover as you move up. You'll also notice that I included 2 Mongooses (or maybe Mongeese? who knows) that are really strictly for fun. You can try to use them to accomplish things, but the real purpose is just to laugh at yourself and your friends as they get tossed around and flipped around the map. Oh and watch out for that one tricky spawn point I stuck in the middle of the map inside of the Coil cluster because if you spawn in there as they are respawning you have about 2.87580989436583765 seconds to get outta there!

That about covers it. Just one warning though, the map is intense and hectic and if you get pissed off quickly with dying alot this map probly isn't for you. If you enjoy carnage and excitement and a few laughs go right ahead and download this map.

    Here's some pics:

It sure is! I also made a few modifications since I posted this. Added a custom powerup and put that and the camo out in the corridors on a floating platform.

How is this under lag? Most games like this are laggy with parties of 10 or more.

Hmm, good question, haven't tried it with a party that size yet,but it ran fine in a FFA with 5 players.
