**EDIT** As per request, I added Shield Doors to the bomb plant points, players were complaining that they were easily taken out by wraiths while trying to disarm the bomb. To even things out to make it fair, I went ahead and made it a little more difficult to stop the someone from disarming the bomb. -Also- be sure to see the shots of a neutral assault game on this map towards the bottom of this page!! **EDIT** Map Title: Wraithwar Download Map Gametypes: CTF One Flag, CTF Multi Flag, Assault, One Bomb, Neutral Assault, and could work well for Grifball. Players: 4v4+ (Works with team of at least 4, but will work with teams up to 8.) Description: Two teams of 4+ go head to head in this Arena style Map. The placed Wraiths are locked into a wide space with no room to move forward or back, giving them the option to strafe from one side of the map to the other but not across it. With strategically placed weapons, grenades, and powerups, this map provides both sides with enough firepower to stop the intruders, without giving them too much power. Testing has proven that the game is very chaotic. Getting the flag/bomb to the other teams base requires multiple attempts and more than just skill, it also requires a bit of luck to manuever past the strong defense. Timing is key, Group movement always helpful. Distracting the enemy will help you, but its going to be a tough run to the top! Works with CTF and Assualt Gametypes. View From Base 1: Armed with S.W.I.P. (Standard Wraith Intrusion Protection) View of Flag/Bomb Spawn/Drop Point: High above the war below. Fusion Alley: The quickest route isn't always safest. View From Base 2: Armed with S.W.I.P. (Standard Wraith Intrusion Protection) The Tower: Neutral Bomb Spawn Point on top Please Check it out, Any feedback on the map would be appreciated. Happy Gaming, -Rizzle C
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) This Map post does not meet the standards. Please read this topic on how to properly post maps. I am sure your map is good so please follow the guidelines so we can find out too!
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) Thanks for the help! I hope this is what you meant! Hope you like it. -Rizzle C
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) I like this, its something new that I haven't seen before. My only fear would be that if one team boarded and controlled both wraiths they would dominate. But if I'm right I think I saw a Rocket Launcher which would resolve this problem. The fusion coil alley looks hilarious but I hope the spawn for the coils isen't instant. This is a real cool map concept. Nicely done.
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) The Wraiths spawn on opposite ends of the map, one per team base. It is possible for one team to control both of them, but it would be a difficult task to gain that control. The way I tried to set-up the game was so that on a team of 4, 1-2 players use the wraith, while the remaining players try to control the flag/bomb. Also, there is no rocket launcher on the map, I debated throwing one in there, but after consideration, it seemed like too much fire power. The best way to get around the wraiths is using the various grenades around the map, or getting close enough to hop on and melee.
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) it looks too open. not enough places to hide when the wraith is controlled and i can see people fighting for the wraiths. it seems ok though, have you done some testing (I'd love to see some screen shots of how it was played and to make sure you have the spawn poitns down)
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) I did a few tests on it, the only test i did 4v4 was a neutral assualt game. It worked very well, I don't have any screen yet but the game remained very fast paced and aggressive throughout its entirety. As far as spawn points, team will only spawn on the long bridges in front of the wraiths in their respective bases. For that reason, playing 1v1 or 2v2 will damage the gameplay because it is easy to camp and kill players as they respawn, but playing 4v4 we didn't run into any respawn problems. I asked the people I tested with what they thought and there were no complaints, Everyone enjoyed the map. Thanks for your input!
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) Nice post. I really like the idea, but can't the wraiths fit through the alley?
Re: Wraithwar (CTF/Assualt Map Variant) The Wraiths are blocked in between the back walls and the row of bridges, its tough to tell from the screenshots but the bridges are actually raised off the floor just enough to be able to crouch under them (possibly a tactic for taking down an enemy wraith?). So the wraiths cannot move past the row of bridges, they CAN strafe side to side though

Re: Wraithwar thanks for putting up screen shots of it in action...im DL it now and can't wait to try it
i like the idea of the strafing wraiths (and there definitely the best vehicles to do it with) however i think the map needs a little reworking... a little bit too open and when in the wraith the bridge in the center could end up ruining your attacks... though i like the fusion coil lane... however i dont see how its the quickest route... you could just go up the staircase on one side and down the otherside... overall great job but not the greatest
yeah bungie should add color changing options in for more than just vehicles like black or...invisible :squirrel_shiftyeyes:
