Srlsy, this would be a great addition to forgehub
over head maps with locations of starting territories
maps of where the spawn areas are
cause i have one territory left on sandtrap, and i've looked EVERYWHERE

    also, nice squirrels :squirrel_rocking:

Save the map when you're looking for that territory. Load it up in a custom game of Territories, and it will show you where it is.

I agree that it would be a useful tool (just so that not everyone has to go back and forth checking their maps for that one odd juggernaut goal point or whatever that evaded them), but it would also be a fair amount of work.
That said, if there's enough interest, perhaps I could try my hand at it (Bungie.net heatmaps, for example, are an excellent way to get overhead maps).

On a related note, is my finding (below) correct? :
-Goal points (i.e. Flag Spawn points in CTF) that are integral to gameplay cannot be deleted from Canvas maps (or they will reappear) unless they are first replaced with equivalent points that allow any and all gametypes to be played (i.e. for Assault, you need neutral bomb spawn points as well as team bomb spawn points). This is what I have observed, but I want to make sure that's what's really going on.

You are correct, sir. They'll show right back up if you delete them. I've gone into all the canvas maps and moved the goal points to where I can easily find them the next time.

This really bugs me. If you delete all the ojects in any game time they should be gone. Period.

(Hope AU1 will cover this) :squirrel_rant:

I'm willing to bet Bungie did this as a failsafe for anyone who would unwittingly delete one too many things, have their map not work for the gametype and start flaming Bungie for making a broken game. There's already enough of that talk as it is.

I think it would be of benefit to the more experienced forgers if they did allow you to delete everything though.

True. we all know that 1% of the bungie forums is mature people. 99% is screaming 2 year olds "bung1e make brok3n g4me!! shift11!!!11!"

True. I hate having to spend time finding the spawns. Plus, once i made an awesome KOTH map, but i couldnt find the spawn for like 2 of them, so i went into a custom game, and i found them embedded deeply inside my structures, and i wouldve had to destroy them to get to them, so i got really angry and deleted the map because either way id have to restart it. I never bothered remaking it though.

Like someone else said, perhaps AU 1. I doubt it though.

That's happened to me before too. I did suck it up and pull my buildings apart...but it took an aggravatingly long time...

That sounds like a very good idea. Perhaps eventually canvas maps will be replaced with versions like this.

I know there is a Foundary Canvas that has all of the goal objects moved into the corner of one of the bases.
