Control Tower Created by Aitius ****Supported Gametypes**** -Slayer -Oddball -KOTH -Multi-Flag ****Map Description**** Control Tower is a symmetrical, MLG-style map meant for fast-paced action and teamwork in order to set up. I decided not to do the usual ramp around the edges style that you see in Amplified and Onslaught because I wanted the focal point to be the center tower. On it the sniper spawns and allows you a 360 degree view of the map. There is plenty of cover so that people are not completely defenseless against the controllers of the tower. I tried my best to make the interlocking smooth and the same on each side. There are a few bumps, but if you look at pro gameplay on a foundry map, there are bumps in those too. Plus, people jump around a lot during games, making it even harder to notice. There is no geo-merging, as I am still learning how to do that and make it look nice. I also added some decoration behind the "See-Thru Wall" ****Weapons List**** (All from memory) (Weapon/# of spare clips/Respawn time) A lot of BRs/ 2 / 45 Carbine x2 / 2 / 45 Mauler x2 / 0 / 90 Sniper x1 / 1/ 120 Plasma Pistol x2 / * / 90 ---No equipment on map--- NOW ON TO THE SCREENSHOTS _________________________________________________ Overview One Overview 2 Red Base Blue Base _________________________________________________ Extra Notes: In Multi Flag flags spawn on top of double box where the two bridges lead to. In oddball the ball spawns upside-down in midair above the sniper, so you must jump to get to it. In KOTH there is one unmoving hill on the center tower. _____IMPORTANT MUST READ______ -Never have more than two teams of Red and Blue -There are no custom gametypes to download, because there are no special rules and I don't want to waste custom variant room. However, this works best with MLG gametypes. -In Flag, make sure it is on an almost instant return time when standing near it because of how small the area is. Thats it, enjoy playing my map. one suggestion i would have is clean it up A LOT. it looks very sloppy and not a map i would play on.
This is a pretty good casual map but not really MLG. those maps have lots of merging and geomerging and are also pretty balanced. Your map looks good though it is a bit bare. If you want to geomerge look around in forging 101. An easy method is to place doors upside down onto the top of an object. they will sink in partially so wait until they stop moving. next grab the object and the door will push the object down into the ground. be sure to have boxes around it to keep it straight. Using several doors at once will ensure that the object geomerges evenly
looks alright, i think there should be a little more closed in area's or tunnels because spawns are too open. 3/5
Umm I thought that in MLG maps nothing was supposed to be overpowering or "better" to control. I think that a giant tower in the middle kinda defeats that purpose.
i like it how the bases are unique but also symmetrical in the same way good job by the way the map looks awsome!
