    Map Info:

    Portal Kombat is a map devided in 4 area's and is not full of teleporters as you might have thought when you saw the map name. Infact it has only 2 sender teleporters on the ground, 1 in the middle of 2 area's. But it has 4
    receiver teleporters in the air, (hided in boxes made out of walls with shield doors to make it look cooler then a simple teleporter) there is 1 "air teleporter" above each area, and when you enter the teleporter on the ground you never know where you going to end up because they are random. This adds a little twist to the gameplay, for example:
    in a test play i was chasing my friend, but he escaped me through one of the portals and felt down right behind me to hit me with a good punch in the back, hunter became the hunted. ofcourse it doesnt always work like that, sometimes you escape one fight to fall right into another.

    Like i said, the map is devided in 4 areas, 2 of em belong to red team, the other 2 to blue team (except in Infection games then the zombies only spawn in 1 area). one team has a Ghost to use, while the other has a rocket launcher on their side (no extra clip). the rest of weapons are quite the same on both sides. Theres is also somesort of "bridge" that goes from one side of the map to the other side of the map. From here you got a pretty good view over all 4 areas, but to prevent camping here i didnt add any cover there but a few fusion coils, so you might be aible to shoot some people from there but it probably wont take long before others noticed your up there.

    My personal thoughts:

    i personly think this is my best map so far, the gameplay is different then my other maps, i used spawn areas so the spawns work better then before. also i think the weapon placement is pretty balanced and not to many weapons stacked up together what sometimes was the case in my previous maps. also didnt used to many power weapons and in test plays that worked fine to me. this is also my first map where i used some geometry merging and i think it worked out pretty well.

    area3, the first area for attackers team, inside the tunnel there is a rocket launcher(no extra clip) to counter the ghost that the other team has.

    the middle platform in mid air, providing god overview and a shotgun. watchout for those fusion coils though.

    Stairs to get up the ramp that leads to the middle platform in the air. geometry merged so you wont fall between wall and stairs.

    This will probaly be featured in the future, its really good, I can't really criticize anything...except I don't get why there is floaty shield door structures...

    the floaty shield door structures are teleporters where you fall out when you enter a teleporter that is placed on the ground, but you never know which one because its random

    THis map, along with it's awesome name, is really really sweet looking. I have it que'd for download. When I play it I will come back and tell you what I think!

    hehe that would be nice, i really wonder what you guys think after playing. in the video i added the mortal kombat tune from mk1 hehe, tobad it turns out that you cant really hear it that good..

    Yah, this is really good. everything looks well made. It actually has a chance to get featured its a lot better then hangar whatever that got featured nice job 5/5

    I shall DL it, because I really can't make up my mind. It seems open, then yet again it seems fun to play. I'll rate it when I have a chance to play it. And it looks really well done.

    yes its open in some ways but dont forget you need that when your having a ghost around, having a ghost with no space to fly it around aint fun.

    seemless geo-merging... and interlocking... this is one of the most original map's that i've seen in a long time. Reminds me of that halo 1 map with all the portals...

    great job :)

    what's up with the sheild door thing?
    The weapons seem alright, 2 oversheilds though? But the choice to have all power items on 180 respawn isnt the best of ideas. How extensively have you tested it?
    The layout seems fairly basic, but it looks like it'll work. The geo-merging looks very professional for your first attempt.
    Contrary to what others think, I doubt this'll get featured, no offense. It looks great but it doesnt contain that one unique attribute that makes it really stand out.
    And did you spell it Kombat as a reference to Mortal Kombat or are you just poor at spelling?

    This will be featured, I have no doubt. Very good interlocking and original idea with more than just one receiver node. Definate download.

    Looks kinda open but i can see that adding to the intensity and excitement of gameplay.
