Hi there! Does anyone know if it's possible to get rid off the relatively big bumping going on when you walk from a box to a stair? If you look slightly upwards or downwards you kind of stick to the stair somehow, but when looking straight forward you get this little annoying bump that can ruin the asthetics of a map.
Try interlocking them very slightly, so there's only about half a foot of overlap. If you don't know how to interlock, see the forging 101 thread.
I'm sorry but I already did interlocking, and it doesn't change a thing. It seems like if the stair is slightly higher than the double box just as there is a difference in height between the open and closed variants of the double box.
Delete both items and start over. Sometimes the game spazzes and the objects don't completely touch the ground.
1) Set the box to not spawn at the start of the game, and use tleporters to secure the stairs in position (don't forget reciever nodes on top of them). Then set the box's run-time minimum so it spawns instantly. Set it to spawn at start. 2) Set the stairs to not spawn at start and place a wall on top of the box, covering the are in which the stairs will be. Have the stairs respawn. 3) Double-tap A whilst looking at the stairs. This will cause the rear of the stairs to sink slightly into the ground, removing the bump. 4) Delete the wall and teleporter nodes. 5) Enjoy
It actually does i have seen a video can't remember where try youtube anyway it does work and any really competitive map should use it
