Text isn't meant to be a focal, unless it's a non-stock/render sig. Tbh, I prefer small, unnoticeable text over big, bulky text. And for people that don't do text well, I prefer no text at all. Only on occasion, when people do it well, do I enjoy large text.
I agree, large text is just so ugly. Ask someone whos very experienced at making tags, and they'll most likely say the same thing.
I vote DRiSCOLL's ... I just love the layout of the sig however the dante pic is werid .. But he gets my vote hands down
Ehh there are no set rules in sig making just as the are none in real art. I'm pretty experienced and I would tell you that text of any size can look awesome if its used correctly.
But, text that takes up most of the tag is hard to do if you're less than inter/mod. What happens if there's a tie?
Yes, it can be, but its hard to do. Im not as experienced as you by far, but of about 95% of the sigs I have been around do not look good with big text. I wish I knew how to do it well.

So do i lol. I was gonna find a couple of sexy sigs with big text to back up my claims but i kinda failed. Not the best examples, just trying to show text has more uses than just being tucked into a corner. ^-- Well of course not all sigs with big text are bad. But most of what I see with big, bulky text is just text added on top in the corner. If you can do it well, by all means, do it...

I'm sad. My sig must suck pretty bad to not get even one vote. Anyways, I vote for Phast Phood because of those nice colors that he used in there. It was also clean too.
