Map Title: Descension The UNSC has no idea what these old ruins were for, they just store stuff in 'em Download Map Description: This is my first asymmetrical map i'll be posting. Descension features four structures´; A small attackers base (with lots of corners and covers, making shotgun a good weapon here), a big defenders base ( shotgun spawns in a tunnel below, but it's not a very closed in place, so you would want to move to attackers with it), a big curved structure with a rocket launcher and a tiny platform with a sniper on. The sniper is in between the bases, making a rush for it necessary, and just because the defence base has a lot of towers doesn't mean it's good for sniping. I'll tell you something important right now. Every single centimeter of this map has at least two entrances, mostly about four, which makes camping really hard. The map is medium sized, but still has room for a ghost to patrol the ground level. In asymmetrical games (one bomb, one flag), a mongoose spawns in each base. The rocket spawn has a roof, also curved, which can be reached (and so can the rocket level) by two grav lifts enclosed by up-side-down stairs in the back of the building. There are also a couple of barrels, a needler, a sentinel beam and two doors to help you get to the rocket. Below the sniper spawn is an orange orb, to help players create tags for the buildings. Trucks and a folrklift are placed on the ground floor to provide some simple cover and limit the ghosts driveability. It's compatible for everything except for juggernaut (who plays juggernaut?), and i've tested it various times. It's a great team doubles/3v3 map, king of the hill, ctf and slayer works very good. I really like the look of this map. The interlocking looks great and the layout looks nicely thought out. For mid ranged combat this should be good fun. Downloaded.
this map looks very nicly interlocked and has nice bases! wow that orenge thing under the tower is sooo awesome! i wish i had orange bases or snipertowers...
it works great for mid-range. thanks! yeah, i put it there to get it something that makes it stick out, and as a tag for people who want to use it that way. Too bad maps gets forgotten after 5 other maps have been posted.
This looks like a good map that would play well. Your defense base and rocket structure are sweeter than a kids candy bucket on halloween, but the middle/snipertower doesn't seem to go with the map. But if it plays well with the map that's all that really counts in the end (=

the sniper tower does fit well into the map, even if it seems a little out of order I agree, there's space, but not too much. Thanks everyone. What i am getting tired of is poll voters that votes negative on it without saying what's negative. the poll is for my self-improvement, but i don't really know what to improve. to the fencebox; yes, there's a warthog in there.don't ask me why
I like the bases, and all the structures, but the areas on the floor seem a bit bare where lower structures could have also been built.
personally its a really good map and all and the interlocking is wonderful, but it looks kind of open on the buildings and really open walking between buildings Great map 8/10.. if u add more cover id give u a 9/10! Good Luck
I like that you made it asemetrical but for some reason it just seems to be missing something. Im sorry but i cant find out what. im thinking a second story but this map is still fun 4/5
Looks pretty cool although I was wondering if the little feet of the walls sticking out of the double boxes hinder movement at all?
the openness is ment for the ghost to have some room, allthough you can jump from base to base without touching the ground, so you shouldn't have to be on the ground floor (even if the regen and PD is there ). with jump i mean that there are trucks and the snipertower to jump from/to. lower structures would have made it difficult to use the ghost at certain areas Jebus; no, they do not. they are just textures, grenades will go right through also.
