Not sure if this is the right forum, as it doesn't really fit specifically into any, but fits best into this I think... maybe... sort of...

Anyway, a map I've posted, and sunk into the Abyss, has recently had an update, albeit a small one. I have posted the update in that thread, (as an edit) as I didn't want to be accused of reposting an old map (the change is kinda minor I guess).

But with it already sunk into page... 6 I think? Maybe more. Anyway, as it is now wherever it is, no-one is actually seeing the update, and it is one that whilst minor, addresses the complaints of multiple people (and, admittedly, I would like more people to see the damn thing anyway. I can't be all selfless :p ).

So if I posted this map, would it be counted as a repost? And more importantly, am I likely to be driven put by a gang with torches and pitchforks ;)

If the changes are major enough then I would repost it. I reposted my v2 of my map because the layout and gameplay had changed so much from the first one that it was almost like posting a new map. So thats up to you.

I'd only repost it if it where an entirely new map. Say, if you rebuilt it from the ground up.

    Hmm, fair enough.

See, I don't think its enough to warrant a new thread, and in normal circumstances I would simply post that there was an update as within the original thread.

But since I was the last person to post there, that would be counted as bumping, and I'd get screwed by the mods (who would be doing their job of course. No disrespect to our lovely mod-folk :p )

Can't you edit opening posts? If so, just replace the link.
That, or just post in the topic and tell everyone about the update, and hope it gets to enough people.

ya suggest that u only post it again if say u did better interlocking or changed something.. then id post it with the words V2 or V3 or w.e. and so good luck!
Oh and P.S. the map shift had 6 versions! ( not sayin its a good map but its now called Shift v6 ) so dont be afraid of reposting a map! Good Luck

Yeah, ok. I've edited the opening post, so now the new/alternate version is in there. The only thing is, no-one is likely to ever see it.

Well, unless they click my sig I guess...

Ah well, rules are rules, thanks guys.

EDIT: Pfft, never mind. Turns out someone posted randomly,. God knows. But now I can post that there is an update. Except its in the first page... meh...

Ah well, justice (or something) prevails!
