Hi. Im just here to say that if people rated the 'Newest Community Maps' and in fact, any map they visit, then it might help the map poster. If you rate there thread and explain in your comment, it could help the map poster to improve his post where it needs to be. Rating could even help them decide what type of map is most popular, why and how to do it. Many people are lazy but it is just a 1 minute job per map and i aim to rate all 5 of the 'Newest Community Maps' whenever i log on. But thats my opinion of course and i'll leave it to you to decide wheather its helpful to do so or not. (And to prove my point, i've just had 6 views in 10 minutes but only 1 reply and rating. It just goes to show how the rating system is really going downhill :-( It may not be a map but it has the same principles) Do you rate new map posts and if so why?
Rating is losing its meaning now sadly, but it does sound very helpful. I was saying it's losing meaning because many of the map posters, just give their thread a 5 star rating, making it seem great, even if it isn't, so if you rate a really good map with 5 stars, it might not mean as much to people who think it's just the map maker rating his map well... I like the idea of comments and I always aim to help map makers who had trouble understanding the community as a whole. Good idea, I think I'll try that more often now, Happy Forging! ~Randle $candal
