Respawn And last but not least, the description and background. ~The Description and Background When I first started Ragnarok, I really didn't know where I was going with it. Infact, only one part from the starting phase remains in the final phase. The thing I wanted was two bases that weren't the same. Having the "defence" base compact and tricky to attack, and the "attacking" base open and easy to get around. Which in the end, it turned out rather well. The result has proving to be a fast paste game in each gametype. The 3v3 of 1 Flag CTF proved to be really easy to cap the flag. But all in between it was a mix of pure chaos and pure rush. The 1 bomb 4v4 resulted in hard to plant but it wasn't impossible. (My team won 2 to 1) I wont say much about territories... mainly because a few of the players had to leave mid-game... =\ Like I said before, FFA KotH has been really chaotic... which lead me to make a KotH setting called Chaos King. (The name fits perfect btw) In FFA KotH (if there's at least 6-8 people) most of them starts right in the hill facing each other, it sticks with the fast paste of the map. If you don't spawn right in the hill you are around it at the least... FFA oddball... well... I didn't like it (It's not my type) but the three top players liked it and FFA Slayer was simply amazing. In the end, to really get a feel for the map, you have to play it. I can't really describe the layout... but it suits the chaos. All and all, Ragnarok has proving to so far be my favorite map. (I've already made two after it) 3 weeks is the total time it took to make the map. (If you wanted to know) and please, don't degrade the map because it isn't interlocked at all or doesn't use more money than the budget holds... In the end, I hope you enjoy the map as the many that have played it did. =] Game types that go good with this map: Chaos King (A FFA Hill game where when you're in the hill you get a 10% increase of speed, power, and defence. The hill moves place to place in 1 min. You get +2 points being in the hill uncontested, +1 point being in the hill contested, and +1 point for killing someone. BR starts and 3 second respawns everything else is normal settings. Score goes up to 250) Bond of Leaders (A slayer like VIP game where the VIP has a BR and AR with inf. ammo and inf. grenades but the VIP can't pick up any other weapon. If you kill the enemy VIP you get 2 points, if you kill an enemy that isn't a VIP you get 1 point, if you kill while you're the VIP you get 1 point, if you kill your own VIP you lose 2 points. If you are within 15 meters ~might've changed it to 25 meters, not sure~ of your VIP then your damage goes up to 125% ~and I think I might've the resistance go up to 110%, but I'm not too sure. Score goes up to 50, like normal slayer.)
nice map, but i think you have to have the title be only the map name. it could also use some interlocking o ya, sorry to everyone who wanted to say "first" in their post
Looks a little chaotic but other than that it looks really fun to play i will definetely check it out so ya nice job
i don't know about this one. it doesn't have much interlocking. probubly none. i don't like it for a reason i can't explain. maybe it's the fact there is no interlocking. i 'dunno. well it took time to make so good job. EDIT: darn you jakattak418!!!! u did it again!!!
The map name should only be the name of the map, the map name only. Other than that, nice post. Looks a little in some spots but I am guessing that is how it is supposed to be played. =)
it looks like a good solid slayer map, i like the different levels, nice job, altho it could be improved in a few areas
I'd go back and change the title, but I don't know how to. About the interlocking thing, I didn't know how to do it when I built this map. I was thinking about going back and doing that, but it doesn't really need to be used so I left it alone.
please tell me where you see any interlocking of any kind. the map didn't apper to have any intrlocking. the map was ok without it though.
looks big and fun, uv got some good ideas and the map looks quite good i think u should interlock somethings besides that its quite good
This isnt quite as good as outlaw but is decent uses little interlocking and doesnt look like a ton of time was put into it.
Ya i like it, got lots of depth. I also like the corner walls on the 3rd picture there very sexy.. I mean aesthetically pleasing. I also want to congradulate you on using a traffic cone on your map. 5/5
