So, I recently joined Forge Hub (recently being 6/20/08)
Somehow after only showing off one new map and about 13 posts in total, I've already got bad rep. So, I've already gotten off on the wrong foot, or someone's wrong foot. To remedy this, I've put together a month long campaign to introduce myself to the community.
This will consist a two pronged attack; first, by introducing a new map every five days (that's six maps in total for those of you who don't want to do math) and, second by reaching something in the vicinity of 100 posts.
The purpose of this thread is I need help from you, the community. I won't be including the map I've already released MLG Torque. So out of my six needed, I have about three ideas cooking, and I'm sure more will come. However, for my third Forge Blitz release, I want it to be community driven.
What I need from you, is an idea you've had to implement in a map that either you did not want to take the time to try and forge or just something you thought might be cool but would never ever have linked with your name. You will be given credit and asked to be a tester for this map if you choose to participate. These are meant to be ideas in the map, not map ideas themselves, mind you. Examples would be a "sniper alley", or a "floating platform that actually moves", etc. Idea submissions will close on the 6/27/08 11:59 PM EST. I'll then pick the best 3-5 or the ones with the most community support, and put them into the map in a way that works and flows, not just scattered and hapless. The gametype will also be a result of what the ideas culminate into. If you really like someone's idea, you are more than welcome to back that. Thanks to everyone ahead of time.
I'll be introducing my next map, which is a puzzle based on 6/27. Winner will get MS points.

EDIT: Apparently I received bad rep for having a sig in the debate forum, my bad for not reading the rules.

As long as you don't spam your way to it, it's fine.

Also, I fail to see the reasoning behind your bad rep. I suggest checking out the comments in your User CP.

That's a really cool thing, and that's definitely implementable in a map, esp some sort of linear back and forth tug of war type game.

or just a game with a huge explosion room where the only way to get through without dying is by it.

I'd love to see more maps made specifically for team snipers, my favourite gametype.

I had this idea for a map, but being too lazy and too dumb to do it, I'll give it to you.

Using a switch method, you have two platforms on either side of the middle of the map. One side has a button, the other has a power weapon. If somebody is dominating on the power weapon, you get to the other platform and flick the switch, which sends fusion coils/dumpsters at high velocity into their platform.

I actually have something in mind that would work pretty well as a team snipers map. So thank you

That's a really good idea actually, the only foreseeable problem would be creating the switch so that it turns on. Usually switches are turn on or off only. But I'm thinking of something that might work. Looks like I'll have to get to forging. Thanks for the idea
