    This truly helped make my map play and be alot better.Now i truly understand the spawn world ,and in my upcoming maps hopefully it will be played like a real map.So thanks for hopefully saving spawn killing Devinish and rep +.

    Interesting read!

    Seems fairly accurate based on what Bungie's Tyson Green, a multiplayer designer said in this Weekly Update...

    a little bit long and bit confusing, considering my brain shut off the day summer started, but really good and helpful, never knew spawning was so complex

    Wait, if there is this much logic behind spawns, wouldn't bungie have used them in their default maps?

    Yes, I know that no one here likes bungie. Lol and jk

    There are spawn areas on the default bungie maps.

    Why does Bungie only use them for non-Slayer gametypes though? I looked through many of the maps in Slayer mode and there weren't any zones.

Sorry about that...anyway, this thread was a great help. I had no idea that respawn points had a "sphere of influence" of their own. Props to you for taking the time and effort to make this thread. You are kind to the mortals.

    Haha, They should give a temporary promotion, for 15 minutes while the author of these things posts the thread, to avoid confusion.

    I find that to be not only ridiculous, but blatantly incorrect. All of the above is obviously false, if you didn't even bother to read who the author was.

    Hmmm, I make an error, and you come back with a somewhat rude remark.
    Instead of kindly informing me I made this mistake, you post this. Also, I received -rep, which I'm guessing was from you.
    Anyways, thank you Matty for putting this up for Devinish.

    Also, I was more into the guide, not who wrote the damn thing, if you're wondering why I made that mistake.

    I have a question and i don't know where to put this.
    ok, ever time i forge foundry i delete all the respawn points and place them somewhere different but on custom games i start at the same spots.how do i fix this?
    PM me if u have an answer

    Depending on what type of game the custom is, you need to switch to that gametype in forge. So if you are playing slayer, you need to go to monitor mode, press start, and go to the change gametype option. Then you select slayer, and when it loads up again, you should see the starting points. Just move those to where you want the players to start. You have to do this in all of your gametypes if you want them to work properly.
