Toothy Grin Created by MattDGiant Gametypes Supported: Conquest V2 Teams Supported:Red,Blue Players Supported: 8 Forger's Note Sick of lame unbalanced infection custom games, MattDGiant went to Forgehub a-huntin' for some new things today. (Third Person ROFL). I was browsing the forums when something caught my eye. Conquest? Wut? I downloaded it and a couple of conquest maps that I found on the Hub. I was pleaseantly surprised, and had a blast on maps like Waterworks and The Cellars. I had SO much fun that I decided that, well, heck, why can't I make one? I accessed Forge and began my work. Toothy Grin is the final product of all the hard work I put in while I was supposed to be studying for my state exams. Teehee! ALSO, there are 4 hidden soccer balls in this map.. can you find them? Map Description Toothy Grin is a perfectly symmetrical map that uses the back hallways and the surrounding area on Foundry. In case some of you havn't played Conquest before, I will provide a brief description of how it works. (Or rather, TDF will provide a description, rofl.) So thats how Conquest works. Sounds fun right? The map has mainly rapid-firing weapons, which include: Assault Rifles Battle Rifles Needlers Brute Shots Spikers SMGs There are also 2 Sniper Rifles, but dont worry, they have no extra ammo. Also, another major weapon on this map are Spike Grenades. These things are deadly, and everywhere. Be careful with them. Gameplay Description Both teams spawn in the bigger rooms in Foundry's back hallway. These rooms are blocked off, except for the entry to the hallway. Inside the hall is where the action starts. A lot of weapons lie here. The weapons are the same on both sides of the hallway. Separating the hallway are two window panels. These allow the teams have some early action while they try to capture their first territory. There is a territory for both teams that is located right in front of the window panels. The pictures will explain better than I can. After a team successfully caps their first territory, they will exit the hallway towards their next territory. This one has no means of action between the two teams, unless one team is able to capture their territories quickly and get on the other side. The territory after that has another means of action. Here is where the map gets its name. The territories on both sides are separated by a giant monster face. It has a large "toothy grin" through which teams can attempt to fire and/or grenade stick through. The teeth are jagged and random and make it harder to attack the other team. Be careful when trying to stick people through there however, if you miss and hit a tooth, you could very much end up killin urself lol. The last territory is at the top of the map. This is territory is different however, as both teams are trying to attack and cap it at the same time. Once a team has that territory, they push around into the other teams base and capture their territories. Toothy Grin. A unique, Foundry Conquest map. Thanks for your time, and I can't tell you how happy I am that you guys even took the time to read this post and check out my map. {{{{{[8]}}}}} Random Comment From Me very fun objective map Map - decent interlocking - great eye poping environment - areas for explosive combat - objectives in well balanced areas spawns - neutral and team spawn points are in un-camp able spots - weapon spawn is ok - power weapon equally spread out negatives -could use some geomerging of some walls so there is no bumps but other than that well done
i cant beleive it im actually liking a map made for teritories omfg!!!!!!!!!!!! you win the make teritories fun award!!!!!
Thanks for the review mitona! In response to your negatives tho, There actually is geomerging! THanks anyway. Who gave the map a 3 star? I thought you guys liked it! Edit: Thanks Maximum!
lol if it isnt fun to play on (not saying it is) it will sure be fun to say i am getting eaten and stand in the mouth
I never could think of a way to make territories fun, but you deffinetly found a way. This map accually reminds me of a fun house because of the tight corridors and the teethy grin looks like a evil clown to me. I like that you can also see the other team through the mouth. 5/5 Downloading now, going to see how it plays.
