Pro Paintball Speedball Variant Map Location: Pro-Paintball Game Variant Location: Speedball The Speedball variant is used to enhance your enjoyment on this map, if you don't use it, i garuntee you will not be enjoying the map to its full potential. Description: You start out in one of three paintball sheds. From here there are three exits. Two side exits and one, more risky, front exit. The front door is guarded by a sheild door to prevent spawn killers. After you leave the shed you really have only one option: Hide! This map is not made for roaming freely, killing everyone you see. You will need to strategically position yourself behind the many options of cover, including barrels, wire spools, and much more. Also, there are several hidden cover spots that give you the best combination of cover & range, however some of these spots can be dangerous. Pictures: Paintball Shed-A Paintball Shed-B Center/Neutral Paintball Shed Some of the better spots are risky to use Example of cover being used I hope you all enjoy this map. Now remember, it definitly doesn't look much, but when you try it out you will enjoy it. I promise you. Please post your thoughts.
Sorry, I'm not one for paintball, nor have I ever been on a paintball playing field, but it feels a bit too open. I'd suggest at least tossing a few small non-cover items into the open to fill that empty void, else it might get too boring to be out in the mid-grounds. Just a thought... I DO, however, like how you built the sheds. Is there a way to get underneath them from behind the shed, or is it just open from the front? I for one would like to crawl under there for that bit of extra cover to my sides, and just in case of a grenade fight breaking out
You can crawl in from the front, and after 180 seconds the objects will respawn. Also, i left the 'empty' feel in there, to make switching from cover-to-cover more of a challenge. Anyone else post there thoughts on the map? I know it doesn't look much, but when you actually play it, it's a blast.
This looks like a lot of fun for people who enjoy paintball. The only thing I'd like to see are some more component parts to the playing field. For example you could add in some more cover in certain areas which would make the games even more strategic. Good design though.
Honestly, I never really like maps that are basically empty besides a few crates to hide behind here and there. I've played alot of paintball/ cover games where the map looks like cover is a necessary. However, in all those games, hardly anybody uses cover and always uses the Jump/ side strafe moves and a few melees to get by on getting a few kills.
Ok i play Paintball a lot and i've been playing for like 4 years and this doesn't look anything like any pro speedball field i've ever seen. I'm gonna link a field diagram if i can find one. Ok heres the link to a NPPL (National Paintball Player's League) field used at a Tampa event. http://www.nppl.tv/site/content_images/Tampa-07-Field-6.jpg I don't really have anything against ur map, and it could be really fun, i just think "Pro Paintball" is not an accurate name.
hey...I agree that it looks a little too open...doorknockers and I did a few painball maps and I think it works best with more cover. Also consider trying plasma pistols with instant kill on. That makes it feel a lot more like paintball.
