it lacks interlocking you should use that more on a map like this since its wide open but its a sweet map for not being interlocked it looks nice
This really is not complex. There's nothing that really took a lot of time to create because there's just stacked boxes and bridges that were layed down. If you want to make your maps more complex (which of course i suggest), read Forging 101. It will teach you how to interlock, merge, and other really cool forging techniques. Also, just take a peak at the featured maps. They'll give you ideas. By the way, I looked at Kansjak Mountain and Indigo Caves, I really like how you made that gauntlet.
Okay first off, interlocking is basically merging objects that couldn't usually be merged. For Example... two double boxes. In the forging 101 section there is some great info about forging techniques that could make your map much better. This map reminds me of foundry default with a few changes and additions. You're on the right track, keep forging!
dude seriously wtf is wrong with everyone? you don't NEED interlocking for a map to be good, i personally think that this map is fine without it and looks pretty fun. Yeah interlocking, geomerging, all that good stuff allows for complex maps, but I think that even simple maps can play just as good, if not better than ones that aren't interlocked. I tip my hat to you tydeskomark.
Most people don't even read the comments they just like to tell you that interlocking is like the almighty power in forge. Well it's not. I think you did an excellent job using minimal interlocking! Isn't a map really just for the fun factor? If we wanted a really good looking map we'll go to the aesthetic section otherwise his map is excellent. Good job guys, and keep up the good work. it looks like not much people are reading this whole post. he tried to revamp foundry, aesthetically keeping it as a warehouse but altering the geometry/layout, weapons, and spawns. but now my opinion on this. like i said, i understand what you were trying to do. but i think some spots on the map are a little too open and the sword might be too overpowering. im sure almost any map can play better than foundry, only if it follows this criteria tho. -only one sniper -not too much power weapons -no camping spots -virtually IMPOSSIPLE to find a weapon to camp with (goes with what i said above) -mongoose use would be a nice twist but not really necesarily because it would take away aesthetics possibly i could think of some other things, but not right now. anyway. good try and i would like to see another version of this in the future.
I strongly disagree with every noob saying this map isnt good needs interlocking want me to show you how? A map can be very fun without interlocking and although i use it very often 90% of the time this map is'nt complex enough to need very much it looks fun and i will dl to try it out -Dont harass the poor guy because he used little interlocking-
