i made my first attempt at making a large interlockin map on foundry and the results were well s$£%.i tried to make a large floor from double boxes and a floating platform from single ones but had a lot of trouble getting everything square and flat so if anyone wants to share any interlocking techniques i would appreciate it

Well a big one is to always use something flat for straight edges like a bridge or wall, (I use bridges though). For getting it even, like, with floating the floor, make it easy to make the same height. For example, make it, alright I placed three walls and then the box, and then make sure to always use three walls stacked to get same height. Put markers like doors at edges and places to make sure for neat, precise interlocking and any specific point.

I don't know if these help at all, but those are some I can think of really fast. I'll try to get back with more after. Hope this helps :]

Do you want to interlock the boxes into the floor? I'm just a bit confused with what you're trying to do. Anyway, for basic interlocking, I just set the spawn time to about a minute, change the item's properties to "Do NOT place at start," and start a new round. *Note: REMEMBER WHERE THE ITEM WAS* Then, I place a new item partially inside of where the previous item was, leave it there, and go about my business until the first item spawns, and then the two are interlocked. Fix the first object so it DOES spawn at the beginning of the round, and you're done! Hope this helped, and if it didn't try Googling "Forging 101: Interlocking."

To make it much faster and such. I always place a bridge under or on top of whatever I'm interlocking to remember where the first object was. (Ps. I used this technique in my new Irish Highlands map (found in my sig))

    For item merging:
I use the middle of a wall for remembering purposes.
    For geo merging:
I flip a door over and set it on the object. I wait 5 seconds and then tap -A- twice. the door pushes it into the ground.
