As i was brainstorming (my parents call it daydreaming) I thought about how most people on the forum think most infection maps aren't balanced well. I'll skip this boring storytelling and get to the idea. the alpha zombie is a human priest (forced colored white), and the humans are unclean ones (parden my role playing) the priest must cleanse. Little does the priest know the "unclean ones" think the chruch is corrupting everthing (hence infection gametype) If you are "cleansed" by the priest you are forced to follow the way of the chruch. I thought it be a pretty great gametype with a story behide it. I got the idea by watching Controller Strike
I've thought of this before, but basically, whoever has the guns will dominate over the team that is limited to swords. I've made a reverse infection gametype before, but I didn't like it enough to do anything with it.
I think people would rather play regular Team Slayer than a Slayer game with Zombie rules. But everyone is different.
Good inspiration iron. Anyway i found that most people get enjoyment in infection, if it is made up as a mini game (see hobo heights). I suggest you build a map where the "priest" stands on like a floating square in the sky (bridges maybe) then make an area for "sinful ppl" to run around underneath him. This would give a heaven/ hell aspect. If you do this remember to not make any roofs or really high walls or ppl wont be able to get hit. oh yea and give the priest like a laser (god strikes them down). How do i quote ppl
We got a good idea going here. I'd like to add to it. Give the zombie people on the bottom no shields, rocket launchers and secondary swords and make the floating platform made of fence walls. Now give the guy up top, call him a "human" even though bungie calls him a "zombie," a battle rifle, high gravity and no shields either. Make sure the "zombies" can't get up to the "human," but can still shoot him with rockets. Now, make it so that if someone gets killed by the "human" they respawn down on the bottom again, but with only a sword. Good luck with this, if done right it could be really fun.
Kind off topic but, Imagine if there was a gametype where it was a mix of zombies and team slayer. 2 teams start off as normal but if you were killed by the other team you automatically switched to their team, and it would continue until one team was completely engulfed by the other.
You would have to make everyone stronger than that - no shields with rockets/BR would end the game or frustrate the zombie a whole lot. Actually, I feel rockets are overpowered, but swords/rockets aren't. So I would give the guy on top, like, a Laser or something. I thought of a concept like this, but by using zombies, you can only do it one sided. And if somehow it was two sided, the first kill would basically determine who wins, since not many teams can win 3v5.
I did that a long time ago, it was pretty fun on the custom Narrows I made for it. The rockets could only kill him by hitting a fence while he isn't jumping. The battle rifle could kill only by headshot, you'd need to use cover to avoid him, then shoot a rocket to hit him as he lands.
It's hard to get cover when the enemy is wayy above you, but yeah that could work. Its not terribly difficult to get good at SWAT though, so a good Zombie would end the game extremely quickly. I like the idea of having the secondary zombies spawn below with swords, making the remaining humans have to watch two areas. Speaking of which, if the humans have to ward off sword zombies, while watching their heads for a nasty BR, the game would probably end much too quickly. I think giving the top guy a laser and removing cover from down below works better, since new zombies will be churned out not as often, the zombie still has to jump to avoid rockets, and it increases dependence on the sword zombies to distract the remaining humans. But then again - I have no idea if anyone is going to make a map like this. Maybe I should.
It doesnt BUT, that's the idea i was thinking about right before i came up with this one. Well if he's talking to me, i say go for it!
Oh, wait! Better story! The pope and his posse are cruising in there Popemobile while vacationing at some island, and they notice a village of god-accursed cannibal natives. The pope is the alpha zombie, and he gets the laser of raining Catholisim on dark souls. Because he is a kind and loving person. And the rest of them get something. The natives get swords and shotguns, and must hide in their straw shacks to stay clean and unconverted. Bonus points for eating people.
So they get a point for killing them, then bonus points for eating them... How would you do that? Is tea-bagging the game equivalent of eating them? I don't they have a tea-bagging bonus point setting.... but that would be freaking awesome if they did!
That would be horrendous. But that's besides the point. Edit: Why do quotes stack when I quote someone who quoted someone else? Eh, guess I'm just not used to it.
They stack because of your beginning code placement. You put them like this: {quote=first quote} {quote=second quote} {quote=third quote} blah blah blah {/quote} blah blah {/quote} blah {/quote} When they should actually be like this: {quote=first quote} blah blah blah {/quote} {quote=second quote} blah blah {/quote} {quote=third quote} blah {/quote} Nonetheless, the way you posted is the correct format, so I don't see why you're griping about it. Also, by killing people, I meant that they get points for betraying. It's funny. I mean, they are cannibals; don't they eat each other? :squirrel_rant::squirrel_jaffa: I made you a nice diagram! The guy on the left is the pope.
