Fusion coil rows are stupid, and it's way too open. I would say add more stuff in the middle and then we'll talk. But good interlocking. 3/5
I put the stairs like that on purpose. I wanted you to be able to walk down a little bit or jump up on the platform. I don't understand what you guys think is wrong with my fusion coils. I mean, they're not necessarily supposed to be in rows. Just the main square with one in the middle and some gas tanks pointing outward. The coils are all symmetric and in order. And yes, i know its open. I'm working on that.
youve got a great map set so far i really like the stairs idea... hope you expand on this because its not perfect but still amazing! if u added more cover or something on the bottom area u would get tons of dl's hope u take my advice! Great work! 4/5 Good Luck on any future maps! Peace!
It would be so much cooler if you built this map above Blackout or Avalanche where if they fall of the map they would die. that way the foundry floor would get in the way (which seems useless on this map) Do you kinda get what im saying? i like everything about this map EXCEPT for using the Foundry floor.
As someone else said, the fusion coil row doesn't look good and the bottom is very open for a non-vehicle map. A map like this would probably look better floating over the cliff on Avalanche, then you don't have to worry about the floor and gravlifts. Anyway, the whole purpose of me posting here was to get Tex's SUX maps aligned nicely on the front page, so mission accomplished.
You must have been one of the last people in the TGIF room i was in last week. We tried it out two on two. Fun times. Thanks! I am working on some ideas to change up the map a bit. =) Yeah, i totally understand and it would by cool.. but i had trouble lining and interlocking all the boxes up just right with a floor. I doubt i could do it without one. And im not sure if any level would actually allow me to go far enough out of the level. Thanks though! =) Like I just said I don't know if i could actually do that but thanks. And I still don't understand why you think the coils aren't straight. What you guys probably don't realize is that openness is great for objecive based games. you can cut straight through or go diagonally or half straight half diagonal, whatever you'd like!
Actually, if you wanted to, you could use my floating Blackout map Interrobang as a base "floor" for a remake of this, since it's flat. I broke outside the boundaries of Blackout, and there's plenty of room for building up there.
Pretty good for first post.. actually great job and thanks for pics and descriptions. Bridge looks great. You got my download.
I guess i could. One problem I have with maps like that though are they are right beside the level and you can still see it. It just seems kind of tacky to me if you know what I mean. I may try it though! I'll just have to see what i have to work with as far as blackouts forge items go. Thanks! =)
i looks like a nice map some part are a bit empty but still a nice map! and i like the part that if you fall down you have less chance
You did a goos job for your first post. I find it funny how common forging techniques are now.. Like if you think 4-5 months back interlocking was considered a long paintfull process and it was un-herd of and not many maps had it.. Now its hard to find a map with out... ( To a certain Degree)! Great things have came to forge...
Dude i just played this map i love it but i dont really like the part where you can fall down and just play down there i dont really know how to fix it but i guess thats the only thing you have to work on so ya nice job
Looks a bit open but this could be a good mess around kind of a map i will try it out and see how much fun it is to play.
I'm sure someone has already stated that its open. It seems like if you're not along the walls you're almost guaranteed death.
