Hello everyone, When I signed up for Forgehub.com, the very first thing I did was download all of the money glitch maps. Namely the ones from Kayaman. Anyway, I've heard multiple times that money glitching overloads your xbox, and that is the reason the budget was put in in the first place. I mean honestly, does a true user of the Forge really need to glitch his way to a good map? And how often do people actually use the money glitch? At least here at Forgehub? Thanks.
Well technically interlocking infinite budget floating (not sur eon this one) geo-merging THERE ALL GLITCHES So yes we do have to glitch our way to a good map. Its been stated before that logically microsoft would report about this officially if they thought it would be affecting their profits (paying to fix xbox's)
Merging is not a glitch, it's using spawn times wisely. Floating is not either, as that's how the game plays. But money glitching is a GLITCH. Should a TRUE user of Forge be able to make an amazing map without it? Yes. Do they? Rarely.
i havent used any money glitches and i agree with the last post but i think that the glitch (of just portal physics) is really cool so check it out http://youtube.com/watch?v=y7u1LuFVz_E
I think I'm going to delete my money glitch maps for two reasons; 1.) They shorten the life of my Xbox, which I just bought because my old one died. 2.) I want to make amazing maps the way Bungie intended, and not through finding a loophole in the game's programming.
Okay. Have fun making your Zombie Forts on Last Resort. And your argument of interlocking not being a glitch is rather badly stated. If interlocking is only clever use of spawn times, couldn't it also be argued that money glitching is only the clever manipulation of max runtimes?
Good maps don't always need interlocking. There is no evidence it hurts your xbox. Also, bungie used interlocking themselves: http://www.forgehub.com/forum/blogs/sargeantsarcasm/307-new-discovery-sarge-shock.html
K first, calm down. You seem to be taking this way too personaly. Second, I do believe that it does harm your Xbox. And in one of your previous posts, you called the money glitch "manipulation". So that just proves my point. I'd rather make a map, and say that I did it myself, and have fun on it, than make something awesome which will harm my Xbox.
He was joking, you know. So make a good map without interlocking then. Anyone who says a great map requires interlocking bar none isn't that smart.
I have one thing to say on the matter... The MLG playlist map MLG Ons v4.2 (Onslaught) uses the budget glitch... and IF it really did shorten the life of your Sex-Box i really don't think that bungie would allow it... But i don't really know thats just IMO.
I'm not saying interlocking is the enemy here. I interlock left and right. I know for a fact that doesn't harm anything. It's the money glitch that I'm talking about. Bungie did not intend for the money glitch, just like they didn't intend for super jumps in Halo 2. But they are there, but does super jumping make you a true Halo 2 player? No. I believe the same concept should apply to Forge and the money glitch. That's a good point. But I'm sure it's excessive maps. I mean there is a budget for a reason.
yeah i dont really like to play/use unlim budget maps because of that but i think its just a rumor... but IDK... someone should just email bungie... see whats up lol
Funny you should say that. I just asked Shiska about the money glitch. But Bungie employees rarely reply, so I wouldn't expect anything in response.
figures... but i dont really mind when i make maps i choose to not use budget glitch... i think that there IS a purpose beside not having like 1000 objects on the map... because bungie would be cool about somthing like that... so yeah.
My guess is that the money glitch is harming the hard drive, which is why the budget was put into place. But maybe I should just place the money glitch maps on my memory card, and any maps that I create using the glitch on it? I'm guessing that would work, actually. But I still don't know for sure on what it harms. It's just my guess it harms the hard drive because of memory. So if I had an entire memory card dedicated to Halo 3 maps, I don't see how it would hurt anything.
i think that if it harmed anything it would be the CPU & Processor i figure that it works the same as wrapping your xbox in towels... it probably just over heats your xbox... if anything... they put a limit on objects so you couldn't "over-load" on any map... once again this is just IMO.
Well yeah, I'm anything but a technology expert. Technology hates me. But I don't know, I would really love for Shiska to reply to my message.
geomerging is a glitch too ya know, but bungie doesn't interlock, they use guerrilla or something like that to make their maps for precision. But it shouldn't hurt your box that bad to use the glitch, GTA IV would probably do more damage lol.
