Hydra (aka Extra Doom(beta name)) is a small FFA Slayer competitive map I made. It's asymetrical, and I made it with some of the suggestions from the Head to Head thread in the Optimatch forum(Bungie.net) in mind. You need to add more things into the middle and take out some weapons. Use some interlocking for a cleaner look aswell. If you need help send a message to iTz CoBrA v2 I'll be on tomorrow.
Sounds reasonable enough. I tried to get a semi-open battlefield that doesn't take too long to traverse. Thus most weapons are long-range. Hence the Battle Rifles, Carbine, Sniper, Beam Rifle, etc.
Here, read up on your Forging 101 and try experimenting with it. Your map will soon look professional and people will be more inclined to download. Good luck!
Way not enough things in there, too empty, prolly took you like 4 seconds to make. Oh, and btw take your screenshots in custom games, not forge.
Way to empty needs clipping/interlocking try some building to fill up space and yea 2/5 tho EEEEKKK! haha
It looks like it should be a KOTH map. Way too open. try making a wall around the center to make it smaller.
as everyone says 'too open' it is, try adding 2 or 3 more buildings on the sides and some cover to get there. Good luck.
From what i saw it of the map it does look a bit too open so what i think you should add if you can is too add some geomerged walls dug around the the mid-edges to add aesthetics and cover. Also , i think that the double boxes placed flat around the edges should be interlocked and placed on their sides to show the bottom for a different look/surface and smoothness of the boundaries , with these improvements it could be an excellent head to head map. Currently: 3/5 W/ Suggestions: 4.5/5 Good Luck on V.1.1 (or V2 ,0.1 , whatever )
ok guys its not that bad it seem fun for some game types and a small party but theres not really an eyecatcher, also some action shots would b good and dont take screenshots in forge, more cover would b good
Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll redo Hydra and I'm working on a CTF map. Can't wait to finish it, it might be pretty cool in the end.
sorry if this comes out sounding rude but this map needs a lot of work. It looks unfinished. the map is way too open and theres NOTHING special to it. try adding a couple more structures or more levels to the map. then i could actually consider it a map instead of an unfinished looking map.
