Map Title: Berserker A fast faced MLG map, compatible for all MLG gametypes Download Map Description: This is an MLG map compatible for all MLG gametypes, and it is encouraging teamwork. Every inch is carefully thought through and the covers are limited. The flags spawn in bases that are practically next to each other, but you have to go cross-map to score, and i guarantee that this map never gets boring. The hills are also set up perfectly, close to cover, but not in it, tempting people to leave the hill. The floating middle platform allows little cover, but gives you a heads up on the enemies below you. The mancannons used as lifts are positioned in a hole next to the signs in the middle area. The rockets spawn on the edge of the cross-shaped map, with two ammo in each. The middle platform drops you off right onto the rockets, which can lead to suprisingly effective ambushes. Both starting bases have four ways to get up, and there are a lot of ways to reach all areas of the map. But you have to try it to realize of fun it is! Middle piece and rocket spawn. another rocket is directly behind the "cameraman". Floating platform, the mancannons are in the holes next to the A and B signs. Mauler spawns in the middle. Flag capture point / Second bases Starting base / flag spawn Ingame action Capturing the flag We have done a lot of testing, and this map is gold! the gameplay is very teambased, since it is hard to see the other players from the hills, and it is truly original! I personally love this map. Not only the design, mostly the gameplay. Better than most MLG maps actually. We had loads of fun playing it! Sincerely HLG Viper. (yes silly, but i made the thread for him, he made the map completely by himself, all credits to him)
Nice map there. I like how it seems to fit MLG play very well. The only lackluster part is the "flag capture point/second bases" pic because it seems kind of hollow. The rest of the map is top quality and looks like a lot of fun.
nice use of interlocking and merging. i like the way some of the buildings/bases look like. my only complaint would be the lack of scenery around the flag return point(last pic). other than that good job
Whoa! This looks pretty darn good! I am surprised to see a map like this coming from a more recent member. Wow, I can definately see that you have a good handle on interlocking. The whole map looks really clean, no crooked walls or uneven floors from what the pictures show. And good job on the layout too, it looks much better and more playable than many I have seen around recently. My only major complaint is that in the outer corner sections with the two interlocked corner walls, I think it is too open. You should really make an updated version with more cover and scenery back there, but other than that, you have my download, and if I catch a game on it I'll tell you how it goes.
it seems that you all agree that it's too little cover at the "dog's houses". I could possibly make a version two that will fix that. thanks for all the positive replys it looks bolder than it is in-game.
Great map layout wise, but that flag placement ruins the entire map. Move it somewhere else! too short of a post so edit to add more: The area itself is too open alone, but if you put the flag there it makes it almost impossible to get the flag out since someone can camp the base to the side and BR anyone that comes along. I would suggest a version 2 with more cover in the area and better flag placement
Yeah, that is all I could really suggest you do at this point, but hold off on the V2 until I get to play on this, I might have a few other suggestions.
this looks pretty good. the interlocking is pretty well done and it has a great and original layout/overall feel. my only complaint besides the lack of asthetics, is the double use of rocket launchers. [i thought i already posted in this thread cause of Jump4h's sig lol]
thanks brute, more suggestions would be appreciated! Yes, the double use of rockets does seem a little unbalanced, even though it only contains two ammo each instead of regular mlg four. That way, to get four you have to go cross-map, making you pretty vurnerable unless you use your other rockets.
