Eagle StrongHold By D3ad1te Not a machinima set...Backstory- After losing Gamma Outpost the 508th Brigade was pushed back up into the mountains where they joined forces with the UNSC's Elite Rangers. Together the 508th and the Rangers must hold off the Covenant Onslaught until the bases Shield Systems come online. Description- At first this map is just basically a fortified base where the covenant have most of the vechicles and the humans have all the weapons(Rockets, Turrets). But throughout the game using timetriggers Shields start spawning around the Fortress giving it more protection. Its not the best forged map(Infact most of the maps here blow it away) but it is fun to play especially if you follow the Prophecy series. Good for any 1 sided gametype but its made for 1 bomb assualt. I also used alot of covie weapons outside the base, so you will be seeing alot of fuelrods and carbines. Screenshots Frontal View of Base. Regular Acouple minutes into the game shields start to spawn. This is the full shield, The shield lets people use the mancannon to jump out but not in. This is the main covies spawn/base Base Defences, 4 turrents, Tons of weapons... Bottom of the base is sealed off by shields aswell. The Teleporter has been moved to the middle of the map. Inside Base, Plant site. Bottom of base, Shotty, and Flamethrower. Was there a lot of spawn killing in the testing because it looks like there would be. And here on Forgehub, armories are frowned upon by many. I wouldve liked to see more pics of the inside of the bases too. And I like the shield door spawning, they look great and seems to effect gameplay a lot also. Nice job.
i dont quite get this so at first you can attack fully but after a few minutes you cant? i would think it would be the other way around
Hm ill try to upload some more. The teleporter inside the base has also been moved so that the "covies" can go into the base through it. Ill put a pic up of it. ALso its not so much of an armoy like you would see in an redunklous Infection Map, There is also several spawn areas for the covies to avoid spawn killing. And Offical, This is based of the machinima series "Prophecy" Basically the Humans are trying to get the Vanguards(Forerunners) Shields Activated before the covenant destroy them. And I don't think there is a way to take things away in forge.
nice but i got an easier way that i use in a map that will be here soon to keep people from using the man cannon
it doesn't look like this took you very long. it seems that neither base took that much thought and also armory's are not a good idea. plus im not sure i see the point in the floating shield. 3/5 My maps. Kind of, When I tested it either the attackers had to rush in the beginning or go through the teleporter after the Shields were up. I think its harder for the attackers. Neway I updated link with a fixed version.
Can I you alter your forge ? I mean If I wanted to you use your shield for one of my ideas... making it so the attackers can jump in but the defenders can't? is that possible?
What you mean? Like just use my map but make it your own? i guess that would be fine. Just make sure you put my name in somewhere like Shield designed by d3ad1te
