Wow, I had no idea my map was going to get featured, awesome. And thanks to everyone in this thread for all the compliments on my map. I love FFG-666, he chose the perfect ship style for his map. Instead of trying to fight the boxiness of forge he just went with it, and the end result is great. And the truck with the raised up box is fantastic, best use of a truck I've ever seen. Colossus Engaged is probably the best looking ship map that can be created on standoff, I'm pretty sure that this is the peak or at least close to it. Every piece of forge material is taken full advantage of and the whole thing just looks really nice.
I love the very nice touches to all of these maps in this map pack. I like the shield door and teleporters on colosus engaged, I think FFG is just great overall with no flaws, and I think the artic horror is just one crazy map.
Lol, I love artic horror, he just looks soo scary :squirrel_rocking:. I like the frigate also, I really like the idea with the thing made of fence walls that are at airo ports. (what are those things called again? elevators?)
in my opinion i didnt like colosus very much. but i really liked the other 2 maps. i thought the frigate looked really good. its the best frigate ive seen by far. i also really liked the "artic horror" it looks really well made... i would like to say too the map makers congrats on the featured map. really well done. congratulations. forgehubs official homestar runner
I've DL'd the FFG-666 before it was featured in this post, it wasn't the best on the inside, but the outside was great. Otherwise, the other two maps look great; they've earned a DL from me, even though that's nothing special. I'll add my comments to this post after a "Forge-through" in each of the other maps. Congrats on the feature to the makers of these maps! EDIT: The Standoff ship is great, although confusing at some points. It's very well done with great attention to detail by finishing off the nose of the ship with 2 Swords. The shield door circle was a bit weird though. What purpose does it serve? It sort of reminds me of a Star Destroyer from Star Wars... Anywho, this deserved the feature. The Arctic Horror was pretty cool too. It's like a giant skeleton. What would be cooler than a giant skeleton that climbs cliffs? The ability to run around inside a giant cliff-scaling skeleton! That's something for a future version, if any. You could make a one-sided objective gametype with the defenders on the skeleton, attackers trying to bomb the head, or take the flag from the heart, etc. Great job on that one too. It's unique and well-constructed; it deserved to be featured.
I dont ever remember seing Colossus Engaged, but it impresses me. I remember seing the Frigate and I thought and still think its awesome. Arctic Horror, I dled a month back, the eyes are so awesome, they wont stop looking at me. This feature has not been a disappointment.
Heh artic horror seems to be getting all this maps downloads where as the other two maps are astonishling good too, it just seems monsters and explosions are more appealing to some *sigh* my personal favourite is collusus engaged I love the use of every none moveable item its genius
a giant monster that attacks you now that is cool. I m definatly downloading that one. The others are alright but ive seen so many ships that i really dont need to download them.
My favourite part of any is that spring-lift thing in the second one, it's so friggin creative! I never would have thought have that little touch

lol awesome that arctic horror looks epic. I've seen Frigate maps before, but the one in here is really good. Only problem it the fact that there were so many vehicles on the map. Finally, That one on Standoff looks really cool. I liked the Blue thingy on top (yes, a technical term).
