This is a medium sized map for every gametype. It is fast paced and not intended for Infection. It is symmetrical for the most part. Everything is intersected as best as it can. It is also impossible to exit this map while not in forge mode. Two teleporters are located outside of the map to add in between the crate and dumpster at the BR platforms. It seemed to work better without them, so they are turned off and out of the map. About two months ago i had an idea to add animation to a Foundry level, something no one has ever done. Animation, for example, would be the turbines in the back of Last Resort. It adds to the level, but does virtually nothing. The animation works by a grav lift at "Respawn: 10" & "Place At Start: No" with Fusion coils at the same. As a result, the dropping distance of the fusion coils allows the grav lift to push the crate up the power-up shaft before it is destroyed. Gravity then pulls the crate downwards. Screenshots: (Description above the picture) Overview B On the right you can see the Defenders (B) Base. In the far back you can glimpse the waterfall. Overview (Focus on Middle Structure) In the direct center of this structure is an elevator. Portable Grav Lifts (located at each base) can be used to operate the elevator. A sword can be found at the top of the shaft. The only way out is to descend back down the elevator shaft. The barriers located on the sides of the shaft can be implemented into your strategy. View into the Inside of the Middle Structure (From Outside) On the inside side of the windows you will find a UNSC pistol, along with a single plasma grenade. A Covenant Carbine is located inside the (Single Box) entrance(s). The elevator is accessible via this bottom section. Battle Rifle Platform(s) (2x Symmetrical) A Battle Rifle can be found lying near the barrier, on top of the platform. There are two BR platforms on this map. Each are of equal sizes. The teleporters (sitting outside of the map) can be placed on the right of the Dumpster visible in this picture (between the dumpster and the crate). The teleporter was removed due to excessive chaos. My animation is located on the right. B Base (Bases are Symmetrical) This is the Defenders base, but both bases are identical. A Battle Rifle can be found leaning against the window panels. An Assault Rifle & Dual SMG's are located in the lower section of the base. Two frags are located on the upper floor leading to my signature Dumpster Grav Lift. A mauler (no extra clips) is located in the corner near the Grav Lift. Weapons 4x Battle Rifle 4x SMG 2x Carbine 2x Assault Rifle 2x Brute Shot 2x Spiker 2x Plasma Rifle 2x Mauler (No Extra Clips) 2x UNSC Pistol 1x Energy Sword Grenades 4x Plasma Grenade 4x Fragmentation Grenade 4x Brute Spike Grenade Equipment 1x Power Drain 1x Bubble Shield Power-ups None, except for visuals. this map looks clean well-merged, and perfectly symmetrical looks perfect for MLG game types... i also like the door in the double box for visual. Even though elevators are common (and in my opinion, over used; due to the fact that its just a grav-lift. Its not like putting a box on top will make it go farther) I like the you placed it in this map. Overall i give this map a 4/5.
Re: Thanks. Yeah I began this months ago (finished it at the end of April, start of May), so the elevator idea hadn't been used too much. Plus, the elevator in this map stops you from being cornered and inevitably killed. It can add to strategy (a safety outlet) too. Also, you noticed my door(s)! There are actually doors on the other sides of the fences, so it sort of looks like the doors lead through into the water &/or machinery.
well i must say i like the way this map looks like. nice use of interlocking. it really makes the map look clean. good job
Yeah even though i normally don't like aesthetics in competitive maps, the door in the double box/fences always give me that little tingle down my spine, its a great additive.
This is a good map worth my DL. But i have seen maps in the past that revolve around a center structure that dont appeal to me but this one does.
