OK PEOPLE THIS IS NOW UP AND RUNNING NICE, PLEASE COMMENT IF U COME ACROSS ANY FLAWS INVOLVING THE ACTIVATION AND RUNNING PROCESS OF THE SWITCH. I didnt know where to post this at,not really a certain catagory. A mod could move it thought if its in the wrong place. IF U CHECK IT OUT IN FORGE THE GRAVITY LIFT WILL SPAWN AT THE START. U MUST START NEW ROUND FOR IT TO BE LIKE IT WOULD IN A CUSTOM GAME. Well, This Basically is a switch that will turn on a Spinning Gravity lift.I was going to build my own map on it and maybe someday will but i thought i would share this with u guys so u wouldnt have to delete everything if u wanted to build something with this switch .Anywho this switch can be made to randomonize (MY Word) and or kill. EX: If u made weapons spawn above it, it would shoot off the weapons in all directions randomly. EX2: If u were to make fusion coils spawn above it,it would shoot the fusion coils out randomly, possibly killing somebody (This is why i made the button an oversheild, cause i was going with the fusion coil idea). Also, as u can probably see i made 2 platforms and a crouch tunnel that come with the switch. I would appreciate it if u could keep on your map although it isnt a must but i WOULD NOT! delete the 2 double boxes near the switch as it could potentially mess it up,But the crouch tunnel does not make much of a difference. IF u DO use this map plz GIVE ME Credit for the switch thx! Gravity Rotator ( The four weapon holders ) WERE made by SwordScar. Everything else was made by silentPERFECT. Download NOTE: IF For some reason it stops at some point, U must destroy the grav lift and it will start working. But, this does not happen everytime but occasionally.
interesting i dont fully understand it, i will never use this in a map but i will probably rebuild it just so i know the technique thanks for sharing, this should probably go in **FORGE DISCUSSION** but i get confused about posting things like this too gj!
Thx lol i guess im not good at explaining cause every time i post someone doesnt understand. Ok, when u get the button/oversheild, a spinning gravity lift will spawn on top of the double box. Simple enough?
thnks for putting it to use u hav helped some1 somewher, but im not sure if its a competetiv map maybe once someones built onit
yeah me either but i guessed since the most views always go to competitive maps, a mod will find it faster than anywhere else but thx ppl i hope to see a map with this built soon i think one would be neat.
I like my weapon randomizer better...(coming soon) JK, this is a great find though, I didn't know that putting multiple weapon holders caused the gravlift to spin. I'm pretty sure nobody else has ever used this before, so maybe you should've held onto it and made an awesome map w/ it before someone else beats you to it. I'm guessing the OS is holding up a fusion coil, which falls down and destroys a gravlift and causes the other one to spawn. Too bad there's no way to stop it once it stops spinning...
haha thx but i dont really care if im not the first person. im not that good at coming up with layouts that is why i put it out there. and ur last sentence u mean once it starts spinning? if thats wat u meant that isnt true. if u put atleast 2 fusion coils above it the fusion coils would blow it up over time and depending how long it was since u started the switch, it would stop until somebody got the button again. but 3 or 4 would probably work better. And yes, that is how it works lol
Well if you put fusion coils on top of it wouldn't they just go flying off? Anyway, I'll DL and have a look at this, see if I can't make something of it. I'm already making two foundry maps with switches, but I guess you can never have too many. I'll give you credit if anything comes out of it.
Thx . yes they would go flying off but not at the same time and they would blow up in a line going to the gravity lift and destroying it. kinda hard to explain, u would have to see it
Nice little invention, I like when people make things like this. I think there should be a seperate forum for these kind of things with how to's so users can learn the techniques and use them to make their own maps better. With credit of course!

but see the problem with that is, is that u can actually play with this, most aesthetics are only for looks
Looks like a new concept - I haven't seen this before. A complex device, but a simple concept - something that randomly scatters an object or objects throughout a map... Very interesting... Anywho, I started the DL process, and I will add my thoughts to this post after a "Forge-through." EDIT: Okay then, this knick-knack was pretty interesting. For me, the grav lift got stuck. By "stuck" I mean that it became trapped between the "fields of influence" of 2 or more weapon holders, and stopped moving. I'm not sure if that's happened with everyone who's DL'd this, but it happened to me. Anywho, interesting concept, definitely something that I haven't seen before. A little risky going with the "build around this" idea, but it may pay off later in the future. There's just one part that I don't really get... the bridge-like thing leading to the "button," or the thing with the dumpster under it. My guess is that it's there for aesthetics. (I've seen too many people misspell this!) Nice job in the end. PS: There is no need to add a new post after every reply. Reply to a few posts at a time or add to your first post, it saves room on the page. Other users might get a little mad to find out that half of a thread's post count is from the creator of the thread. It's also a cheap way to increase your personal post count, but there's nothing against it.
