Forgehub users, I introduce to you…Sweathaven!!! <- Download link Map description: Sweathaven is, yes another floating base, but it is much different in its design. I put a lot of creativity into this map and there are a few key points I would like to focus on. First is the entrance into the base. You use the huge man cannon that the starting points are conveniently placed next to. Most of the weapons are in the same room as the warthog and the mongoose. There is also a secret armory in the base somewhere. Finally where there is a vehicle that is upside down and has grenades and weapons around it, there are neutral spawn points. Those are called weapon posts, there are 4 of them around the map, 2 for each team. Game types supported: Assault: Cavern Walls “Suggested Assault game type†<- Download link While the Spartans were refueling their UNSC hanger the Brutes unknowingly set up their Chieftain’s mining facility in the nearby caverns. To their surprise they started to find explosives hidden in secret chambers inside the walls of the cavern. Once the Brutes found out about the Spartans, they planned their attack. Once they had figured out how to arm the bombs you can just imagine the drama… CTF: “This map works best with the default CTF†Well after they got through shooting and blowing each other up, the decided to play a nice fun game of Capture the Flag…just joking. lol And finally the film clip.—I’m sorry for not having an official video on youtube or anything, but I have no capture card, and I feel that an in game film clip would deliver the best quality. Plus you can pause the clip and free roam the camera where ever you want. I dont really like these kinds of maps. There really isnt much original in the whole layout. The floor looks a tad bumpy. Although I do like that one flipped warthog with the weapons by it. How many vehicles are on the map? (looks like a lot)

This map could definitely be improved (ie straightening out boxes). There is not really anything new in this map and because bases are overmade, this map recieves a 3/5 from me.
Ok, well thanks anyway but ya the boxes are liket hat because the barier of the course forces them like that but i am in the process of fixing them thanks
u dont need to reply after every post. and it looks like there are too many vehicles and too many weapons placed in one concentrated area, and floating bases get a little unoriginal
Floating bases are built a lot, especially on Standoff. But, this is the first one on Avalanche that I can remember. Looks done well, so I will DL when I can, then run around in Forge, then add my thoughts to this post at the end. EDIT: Nicely built! You used the entire map, which is good, and rare for that matter. The flipped vehicle spots were cool as well. There isn't much to say for improvements, but what you could do is floating objects with the save-and-quit method. (Check out the Forging 101 section for tutorials on this technique) The floating Hornet and Banshee platforms were not level, which bothers some people. Use the save-and-quit technique to level out the platforms. Also, the ramp for the vehicles off of the base could be facing the other direction, but that isn't a big issue. In the end, great job on this.

The base pretty is well made but some aspects of this map need improvement. Vehicle and weapon placement can easily break a map. It usually isn't a good idea to include a multitude of power weapons, as well as not cluttering weapons too close together. It is completely unnecessary to have three SMGs next to each other and detracts from the map. Also, it doesn't appear necessary to have two Prowlers (And those two Banshees,) next to each other but can't say until I play. Overall, I give it a 3/5 (6 out of 10, slightly above average.)
Ya i thought people would say things about the weapon and vehicle placment but otherwise for the attackers (which is were the prowlers are) would have to run farthur for their vehicles and those are th only good ones for them to use if they have the flag. and as for the weapons i am working on spreading them out more. thanks for the comments you guys =)
