___________________ Hello, Forge Hub community. My name is Jester, and today I am making my fourth contribution to the Forge Hub. Construct is a classic map that is featured in nearly every matchmaking game type available. I enjoy playing on this map, but one aspect of it has always bugged me; during every game the combat inevitably shifts towards the upper level. The lower two levels become nothing more than staging areas for players to assault the second floor. Players defend the two rooms on top and the game play is simply a shifting back and forth of control of the top floor. I feel that the bottom two levels have much to offer the competitive match, and so I built Ground Floor to showcase the terrain and beauty of the lower levels. The map's defining feature is that the upper levels are inaccessible. All three lifts lead to instant-death by teleporter, the ramp up is blocked by more teleporters, and the two rails up are blocked by instantly-respawning gravlifts. The map has two distinct areas to it; the "human" side and the "covenant" side. The scenery and weapons are reflective of these themes. The map features several power weapons: the spartan laser, the shotgun, the turret, and the sword. The spartan laser is hidden and is useful on the open upper level, but next to pointless underground. The shotgun is only accessible by dropping down the central hole in the map and grabbing it as you fall. The shotgun (60sec respawn, 1 extra clip) is useful underground but not effective aboveground. The turret (60sec respawn) overlooks the upper field and is a powerful tool. But beware; players can approach its position from behind to take out anyone using it, and there is a needler placed in a prime position in the center of the map to take out the gunner. The sword (60sec respawn) can be found by going through a teleporter placed on the glass overhang, which takes you to an area beneath the map. It takes some tricky jumping to get the sword, but it can be invaluable in the underground area. In addition, a bubble shield is places in the center of the field, an overshield (60sec respawn) can be found by the orange lift, and active camo (60sec respawn) is hidden in an alcove off the field. However it is not a practical approach as it takes too much time to do, there are no weapons up top, and there are plenty of long range weapons to take you out from below. i must say this is quite appealing for many except ive had some lets bad experiences with fire on that first floor in lonewolves... i hope you removed certain missle pods and flame throwers ???? i wont download untill i know for sure gah that place gives me the creeps - which leads me onto saying this is a nicely constructed post however a weapon list can benefit your download count trust me, its nice to know you havent placed 340459840880 rocket launchers or snipers and we need to know if its going to be balance, weapon list / respawn times can be useful for that
Ths iisn't that sgood of a map- oyu could show some more esriptive pictures and I don't see may weapons on the map -these are two items that can be esaily improved.
I think its an awesome map. good job on blocking off the top as much as possible, i know that its hard from when i had to block off the base in last resort
very nice. a map not very much frged pn has a nice map to look back on one day. ill dl and try it out sometime when im bord.
Yay! A map on Construct, I have only seen two before and this looks like the best. I would've liked it more if the teleporter block was a bit neater but it's fine. Also, it seems bad that there are many long ranged weapons, what if a player gets up out of the map with one of these long ranged weapons? They would easily be able to get eight kills (I think .)
