well i dunno, if it's about aerosmith as is apparently so, i ain't buying it, it needs a wider range of music than their glam-rock crap. also, the dlc for GH3 was disappointing, they made what, 4 packs? disgraceful...
Read it in GI. Looks like all they did was take RB and revamp it. They also said something about the new guitar holding a super cool new thing that they have to patent it before they tell any information. Sounds like it could be good. I also like the way they have the new drum set with the different levels. A flat 4 part drum set is the suck. Although for those harder songs you should be able to hook up two base pedals... Base drum is really hard in expert songs. Anyways, I like the challenging songs more than music I know. I would rather have a hard time in Expert mode than it be a cake walk. Thats really the only reason I play. Well, that and I like most of the songs. So I really don't care what they bring to the table, I'll buy it and I'm sure it'll be scrumdiddilyumptious.
Sounds awesome so far. OMG I'm hyped. But yeah, I hope it keeps the same track quality of the others. I mean I could never get enough, personally, of Alice in Chains and RATM...
I like Alice in Chains and RATM also, but i personally think that **** is getting old, we have already had 4 games with basically the same stuff on them. Rock Band is the only one that is really providing some new ****, such as grateful dead.
I gave up on GH after GHIII's epic fail of a playlist. Rock Band is the way to go these days. The song list on it is incredible. Also Rock Band is the game that makes all the innovations and doesn't copy from its competitor. Rock Band 2 surely will have something new and epic unlike GHIV's copying...

That doesnt even make since.... The first two GH's were the best because of harmonix GH3 sucked because of the playlist and rockband is no where near a "Knock off" its was a completely unique idea that everyone dreamed of from the first GH and it happened and it was amazing, and if you read the other posts with people "opinions" it seems more people believe rockband dominates GH because it is more fun to play with friends and the multiplayer is more fun. -Donuts
ohh sorry? I guess i didnt really meant it sucks but the real thing is that the guitar just blows compared to the design of the GH brand. [the strum bar mostly] the drums were a good edition. and i guess you couldnt say guitar hero is really copying, just trying to make it better. just like rock band did, they didnt COPY GH just tried to make it better.
first of all about GH just copying RB, do you guys really think they were the first to think about it. it even said in the GI article that they had been planning this even before RB was announced. it was what activision intended to turn GH into anyway, i cannot wait for GH4 it will be the EPIC WIN! also, yeah, i think RB has better songs, but i love the intensity and challenge the GH is always sure to offer. I play on expert and beating TTFAF on expert with 90% was one of the greatest feelings ive had in a long time.
Thats true, however it was also Harmonix intension as well and when activision took over they did what we all dreamed. I agree about the guitar though it sucks I use the GH guitar... but im talking about the game not the guitar. -Donuts
As I said before in the other Guitar Hero forum, I'm not buying this stupid game unless activision allows me to use my Rock Band drums with their game. Why the hell should I have to buy two huge ass sets of drums to play two similar games? Rock Band - 1 Guitar Hero - 0. And besides its called GUITAR Hero, why the hell add the drums. You suck Activision.
I'm just not used to that one. (the RB guitar) I liked it at first, but i decided that i am better with the "clicky-tappy" way that the GH2 guitar works. The RB guitar is smoother and less clicky-tappy. Plus i am a noob and I tard out when i try to up-pick, which i think might be easier with the RB guitar? Clicky-tappy. Clicky-tappy. Clicky-tappy.
I seriously love the Les Paul design, its my favorite guitar...or possibly tied with the Gibson Telecaster...it depends on the finish. The only downside to the GH III controller is that the buttons stick a little bit, which can be frustrating when playing on expert.
