Forward: Recently a lot of people have asked me for help with budget glitch. (also known as the infinite money glitch) And so instead of having to help each and every one of them, I decided to make a thread about the glitch. ALL ABOUT IT. Table of Contents: 1. Applying the Glitch 2. Using the Glitch 3. When Your Map is Done 4. Review 1. Applying the glitch Okay, so you think the map you wanna make is going to exceed the budget limit. What are you going to do? Why use the budget glitch of course. Applying the glitch yourself: 1. Spawn 1 of every item 2. Set the "runtime maximum" to 1 higher then the amount placed on the map 3. On maps like Foundry and Sandtrap, you'll need to save & end few times to change all of the runtimes. This is because when you start the game the budget will be as if the runtimes weren't set, but as soon as you spawn, delete, or change the runtime of an item it reverts back. Alternatively you can download an already glitched version of any map. List Of ALL Money Glitch Maps 2. Using the Glitch You may notice when using the budget glitch that you won't be able to spawn any more items even through you still have some left, this may be caused one of many things, don't fret I have the solution. Your'e getting this messege because you have hit the item limit, here's a way to solve that problem This will happen if, YOU FORGE WITH SOMEONE ELSE AND THE HOST SWITCHES OR LEAVES or, if you spawn the maximum of an item, and DELETE ANY OF THAT ITEM EVER. But to fix the problem, 1. Save & restart the game 2. Change the runtime to 1 higher then the amount placed on the map If you don't have enough money at the start of the new game, you'll have to delete any item to change the runtime. 3. When your map is done You may notice that while the money glitch is applied that weapons and destructible items respawn faster then normal and an extra one will spawn. This can be a real problem, and can completely break a map. Since the runtime is set 1 higher, the game says that an extra one of that item can spawn. What i suggest is that you save 2 versions of your map. The first would be the publishing version and the second would be your editor version. For the publishing version, delete all the extra budget glitch items, and change the runtime maximums of all the item back to normal. For the editor version, just leave the budget glitch on, and use it if you need to make a second version like a 1.1 or something like that. 4. Review 1. Download Money Canvas Glitch Maps 2. Try not forge with some else while using the glitch 3. NEVER DELETE AN ITEM IF YOU'VE MADE THE MAXIMUM OF IT. 4. Save 2 versions of your map, 1 for publishing, 1 for editing.
That's helpful, the part about hitting the item limit is a little confusing, but this will probably help people who don't know anything about the glitch. I've never had a problem with an extra item spawning though, that's weird. + repped. =)
you can't have a partner on money glitch? dang it. oh yeah thanks for money glitching Avalanche so well
thanks for the tut, unfortunately, this is a little late for me, but this will be helpful for many forgers to come... the save 2 versions part is actually quite crucial, 1 for publish, 1 for editing, because that is the one that i didn't do before, but did most recently, and the difference is huge in the maps..
Your thread 05-25-2008, 11:13 AM http://www.forgehub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12010 My thread 01-26-2008, 02:33 PM http://www.forgehub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2297 I posted it first.
That method doesn't work 100% of the time. Sometimes, it'll be too much into the glitch that it'll already say $0 upon entering. So with my method, it's more explained. Plus, I didn't see yours, 'kay? While you did. Wah.
Err.. You didn't really state that once the full amount of a particular object are placed they should not be deleted. Thats like, the most important thing to remember right? Unless i missed it in your post, tis rather late. Nice work otherwise edit: Ok you did I'm stupid, but i still think you should elaborate the point a little or something =S
very nice.. i didnt know there was a way around some of those things. and thank you very much for posting this.
I saw the part about the editor and publisher version. I have done that so many times but I always decide I want to edit the publisher version a little more, so in the end I wind up with an editor version that is less complete than the publisher version. When I go to update the map later, I am forced to use the publisher version which really sucks. Next map, I am not doing that! Edit: When it says cannot place anymore objects, just set one to not spawn at start, then start a new round, place your object, and let it spawn then get on with your map. It works for me at least.
I'm havin sum trouble gettin to put use the infinite object glitch... it'd be great if you could explain it a little more thanks
Dang this helped me alot! Thanks Kayaman. I think you could have saved thousands of maps (including some of mine) with this piece of information.
This is cool. I still can't believe someone found this out. But it makes Forging big maps even easier.
Never actually tried to do this to a map myself... I actually severely need it for the map I'm currently on. I mistakenly used an OLN sandbox crypt canvas that wasn't budget glitched and will never make that mistake again.
