    This map was co-created by Doonsta v2 and Slindish.

    Hi, this is my first post on ForgeHub, although I have been downloading for awhile. Anyway this map is quite a lot of fun to play with friends, extremely fun on LAN. Anyway any advise/criticism/praise is appreciated.

    Tunnel Run
    Tunnel Run CTF

    Description
    This is a close quarters map. Two symmetrical bases are linked by a square "U" shaped tunnel. Both bases have the same items.
    Each base has:
    - 4 shotguns
    - 4 snipers
    - 4 flame grenades
    - 2 bubble shields
    - 2 turrets
    - 1 invisibility (that spawns at 2 minutes in, and then every 2 minutes onwards)
    The tunnel also contains items:
    - 2 regenerators (1 at each corner)
    - 1 deployable cover (that spawns at 2 minutes in, and then every 2 minutes onwards)
    All items (excluding deployable cover and invisibility) have short respawns and at least half of the total on the map at all times. This means that there is no shortness of weapons.
    Players spawn with a BR and an Assault rifle. No nades. Strong gravity (or smaller jumps if you want to look at it that way).

    The Game
    This has been built with CTF in mind and probably wouldn't be fun for anything else. The start is hectic, with people using different strategies.
    the most we have played with is 4-on-5 but there are enough spawns for 8-on-8... personally We prefer 4-on-4 because you don’t have to press on the d-pad to talk, and it can get insane in the tunnels. It is hilarious hearing the other team talk and yelling when you get them from the grave with a flame grenade.
    Spawn killing is possible but that is a risk that you take knowing that there are 10 second respawns. Team work is the key: don't all rush, work your way down the tunnel with snipers covering you.

    Oh, it is impossible to get out of the map with the gametype. Even if there is a way to get out it would not be at all useful in-game.

    To tell you the truth, it needs alot of improvement. Maybe by adding more items and have interlocking in the map.

    Actually there is a little bit of interlocking, purely to make gameplay smoother. I kind of agree with the weapons but it is still really fun as it is.

    1: Spawn camping will happen.
    2: Not very original.
    3: Please never make another Tunnel Raid map. They are outdated.

    Harsh comments.

    I do agree that there are a lot of tunnel raid maps and the idea is not very original, but I'll give it a download and report back.

    Hey welcome to Forgehub (at least membership!)! Sorry about the harsh comments above. The map looks like the gametype would run well on this map (some people judge on looks but I judge on how gameplay would run throughout the map). Although it could be rendered as a tunnel raid, this map looks harder to get out then any tunnel raid I've seen. As far as looks go though, I really don't think you need to interlock as long as the tunnel floor is completely smooth and same with the bases walls. I am glad that someone finally made another tunnel raid because tunnel raids are really fun! Happy Forging!

    Ya i think this map looks fine w/o interlocking and it seems like it would have interesting if hectic gameplay. One improvement i may suggest for this map, and all "tunnel raid" maps in general, is the addition of chokepoints along the tunnel that can be used to defend against the other team. With these, the map would change from an all out zergfest to a tactical capture and control gameplay with players holding out at chokepoints untill their teammates arrive to help them push forward.

    looks okay, but the shotguns? only 2 shottys' 1 each base set for 120 respawn and no place at start. but the idea is good, and gameplay looks pretty good

    what? there are 4 shotties at each base... and they start at the start with at least 4 on the map at all times and (i think) 30 second respawns...

    and to the above comments: thats cool... if aesthetics are what you want then don't download this, there is a section for that... however if you want some fun gameplay then give it a go...

    Hi, and welcome to ForgeHub! As you now know, this community takes forging fairly seriously, and what youve created here has unfortunately been done time and time again. If you would like to improve your map, I would suggest cutting down on the power weapons, i.e the shotguns, sniper rifles, and turrets. Im sure 1 shotgun and 1 sniper rifle on this map would suffice, or better yet take them all out and give players br start. Maybe you could create a swat variant with a little more damage resistance? It could make the gameplay flow faster and more evenly. Also, you could add a few barrels inside the tunnel for cover, because I can tell you right now it wont be much fun for players to have to strafe across the tunnel openings just to move ahead a couple feet. And dont take anyone's comments too seriously, everyone is always trying to be constructive, im sure. Good luck!

    i wanted to see a remake of this but this is not what i was looking forward to. i was thinkin it was goin to be completly clean and have the boxs merged into the floor... and just alot of different stuff. i think i just may make 1 myself...

    Wasn't there a tunnel raid map with the same exact layout on Last resort? You could have added something new to it to make it more orriginal.

    I got out of it with my cousin, then we spawn raped the other team. We won.
