@Blaze Great job with the map, man. I was watching Kovaak duel on it, and it seemed fun. I’m jealous and proud at the same time.
Planning to test Decimation this weekend! Decimation is in infection map set in a flood ravaged city. I took feedback from my previous maps into account to make sure I didn't repeat any of my previous mistakes. Here are some updated screenshots:
I’m about to fly to New York City. I have never flown before, and I’ve only been to 2 other states besides Texas (my home state). If you never hear from me again... it’s been real FH.
Totally, we made it safe by the way lol. Hit quite a bit of turbulence but the flight was only 3 hours.
Have fun dude, and please travel the pretty world out there! And if you landed at Newark that's one more state for you boi.
This is how I feel every time I fly. Which is why I never fly. You're even more daring since you decided to wait until there was a virus that could kill you regardless of if you landed safely. You Daredevil. Last time I flew I was on my trip back from Australia. I figured if I was going to die in a plane crash it should be attempting to take a one year working vacation half way around the planet and not to save time traveling across Canada. I would really hate to imagine myself dying on a 15 minute flight trying to save myself from the 2 hour ferry ride.
Haha! I planned this trip 3 months ago before the Corona “epidemic” showed up. But hey, thanks to the Coronavirus panic, there isn’t near as much traffic/tourists and my hotel room (The top floor of The Renaissance in Times Square) price shot down from $1300 to $900 in the last week, lol. But don’t get me started on the media crap storm that is Coronavirus. It’s a bunch of Malarchy if you ask me. Some 20,000 people have died of the common flu this season and nobody talks about it. Coronavirus has killed like +\- 500? And the media goes ballistic? Couldn’t have anything to do with an election year, which just so happens to be the years where every sickness epidemic attacks (H1N1 bird flu corona).
Nah, went through La Guardia. Only way I could fly Southwest which I was told was hands down the best airlines. This was a surprise trip for my wife as the honeymoon we never had after 12 years of marriage lol.
Yeah I forgot, La Guardia is national flights mostly from what I remember now. Corona killed about 4600 people btw.
Oh, I think the 500ish number was for 1 certain country. Either way, less than 4% of confirmed have died.
4% is huge, but likely inaccurate. I think it's much lower bc most people will never be diagnosed. Funny thing I read today was that 3 TSA agents at San Jose airport have been diagnosed. I wonder how many thousands of people those 3 infected.
Not that I go to the event but I'm kinda bummed about E3 being shut down. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/e3-2020-canceled-due-to-coronavirus-concerns/1100-6474647/ Hopefully they'll still have a closed set event. It's really going to hurt the vibe considering this is a huge launch year. That is if suddenly the consoles don't get pushed back to early next year. Production must have started by now.
Funny travel got brought up - I'm headed to Taiwan this July for my first mission work. Never flown out of country before, not super excited about jet lag. I'll just be helping out the local missionaries already stationed there. Eventually, God willing, I'd like to be sent to unreached countries and people, that is, when I am qualified. There's currently ~ 3 billion people without the gospel of Jesus Christ. May the lamb that was slain receive the full reward for his suffering!
Never really had a problem with jet-lag but it depends on the person. When you're young and party, have irregular sleep or skipped nights altogether it's not that big of a deal. I used to drive to the airport at night, have a really early flight and have a normal first day at my destination with no sleep. But I'm 38 now so it's not what it used to be lmao. And speaking of anniversaries, me and the wife celebrate being together for 20 years this month!
