I believe the best option right now is to just use multiple GT's, keeping the maps you want in the file shares of these accounts. Download when you want to work on something, and then save and re-upload when done. Pretty dumb that I need to have numerous account just for this. Anyway, enough on that subject. Is anyone actually working on anything in Reach?
I made this Battlefront 2 inspired map in Halo 4 yeeears ago, looking back at it i'm very impressed with my past self. It was built off the extraction gametype so i was able to add a lot to the sandbox. It was called Cepheus based off a asteroid belt and is where i got the name for the extinction map me and blaze worked on One way Team shields spawn over the default two way shields which forces enemy teams to destroy the shields in order to fly in the hangar, also 3 auto turrets spawn at each ship to whittle away any enemy banshees that fly close to the ship. there is also a wraith spawn pad near the turrets players could mount and role play as a mortar There are lots of clustered asteroids that can be used as banshee cover, as well as a neutral capture point on an asteroid in the backdrop. There was also a class based system where players can fulfill different roles, like a shotgun and turret ability to defend the ship, or a generic slayer with br/dmr. The coolest class was the jetpack and plasma pistol class that let you fly across the low gravity and emp enemy banshees, if they fell down far enough they would get killed by the out of bounds zone. You could eject from your banshee and jump from one asteroid cluster to the next if you had that class too... None of this balanced AT ALL but still really fun OMG i remember this one time when i got into some beef with another forger who made a similer map in H4, i messeged him saying my map was better and his was for noobs LOL
What's everyone's take on Microsoft's Xbox Series X. I guess we'll be calling it the Xbox SX. A bit of a shoot and a miss on naming it the Xbox XS. Maybe they'll get another shot late gen. Not quite sure how I feel about the monolithic design but if it allows for better performance then go for it. I'm also disappointed we didn't get the much requested mic on game controller. Being able to just hit a button to use a voice command would come in infinity handy, especially when searching for movies and games. It's great that they added a share button. I'm not in that demographic but I can appreciate the feature. I wonder what Sony's thinking after seeing the Xbox Uber Cube. Until you you guys reply I'll just keep sitting here trying to imagine this thing in my TV stand.
Sexbox could catch on... Visually its bland. Whatever though ill just slap a trump bumper sticker on it. Physically it saves horizontal space, will stand up securely and dissuade people from tucking it into under-ventilated entertainment centers. I have no room up top so ill just put it on the carpet. Microsoft confirmed horizontal orientation is supported though. Unfortunately it will be 90 to the right where i cant access the disc tray and power button if i place it directly behind my tv. The concave vent will dissuade using it as a platform/table for my mountain dew but thankfully the perfect size to set my stack of games down over it or use it as a bowl for my every-day-carry. The new controller triggers look hit or miss. Looks like a miss to me but as an elite user its no problem of mine.
I found and have been going through my old Reach forge maps but without forge on PC right now not much I can do. Has anyone used the work around for forge on PC and actually been able to make new maps or even update older forge maps?
Ya, I'm not sure about that texture but since the controllers are back and forward compatible and you get one even if you don't care when you buy the system I'll just use whatever feels better. Thank god I won't be coughing up for 3 more controllers again.
Man does it feel weird being back here Hi yall, for those of you that don't remember me (I hesitate to guess, everyone). I was super active during the decline of reach and the beginning of 4, but the hobby sort of fell off. I only ever made 1 complete map in H5, but by then I was long from posting on here. H5 is a beautiful thing, and you can make some outrageously good maps in it, as lots of you have, but I hated the sandbox, and never really set out to forge in it like I used to because I probably wasn't going to like playing on my own map haha. With Reach being back, I picked up the hobby again, and as such decided to log in to my old account. For everyone who had to deal with me back then I'm sorry. I was 14 when I made this account and it shows. Holy hell what a cringer I was. I have a small project I made in Reach in a total of 12 hours. An old idea I had floating around in a sketchbook from way back. It will probably play just as bad as it looks but that's okay I will also probably post the only halo 5 map I have, as I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out all things considered I can't promise I'll be here forever, but I can promise I'll be here for now Screenshots eventually, probably this weekend
