Each person needs a different equation, but imo it's better to look at that as "teach people how to stay happy". Being happy is just as a part of basic biology as hunting or seeking shelter, and can be achieved through enough random happenstance on its own. That being said, it is a lot easier to build a house if someone who has already done it helps you along the way. You'll lose a little bit of unique creativity that only doing it alone can illicit from you, but will be balanced out by the speed in which you progress as well as the amount of RAM (brain power/worries of life/etc.) it frees up. Some of my own personal mantras that I try to live by to keep me happy: Do no harm; take no **** ((my favorite one by far, though I still have a hard time preventing harm and taking no **** from myself)) The sign of true willpower is wanting to do what must be done, instead of needing to do what one wants. Accepting your limits allows you to surpass them. ^^^Sub-clause: Focus on a problem for only as long as it takes to completely identify it. All the rest of the focus should be centered around solutions, or the problem will grow. Don't look at bad habits as a negative influence in your life, transmute them into benefits. (Ex): I am very manipulative. Instead of thinking I'm evil (and in turn bringing more possibilities to be evil), I trick people into thinking they solved a problem of their own devices; those devices are then implemented into their lives as another benefit. Tbh I have a hard time following them all every day, but I treat my mind as a computer that I can program with enough coding. That, for me personally, works wonders. I don't know ****. My interpretation on life ≠wisdom. These are merely tools that may or may not be of use to you. Ex: I'm not going to expect a soldier to adhere to 'do no harm/take no ****' because they're exposed to a bounty of experience that I'll never be a part of (including soldiers of Christ ). They will have a better chance of finding ways around that mantra and still helping the world or themselves in their own way. TL;DR Question everything
