I’m dumb so what does this mean? Like I fully admit it’s hard to forge now. I just walked through Oblivion, in forge since it’s dark as death in game and Arkanum and I totally submit to Multi cuz I can’t (or maybe don’t have the menal capacity or patience to) make something like that for sure.
It literally makes me depressed because I used to try to push boundaries and be really good and it’s so hard for me to do it now and I feel like it’s not worth the time and effort yet I want to do it.
I’m not sure what you mean by “there’s no skill gap” or “there is a skill gap”. I edited my post to say it wasn’t more difficult to design a map in Halo 3, just much different. Given liked my post and he’s with 343 so I’m obviously right.
you could forge better in halo 3 because it took 6 ****ing weeks to get the block out done which gave you lots of time to think about what you are doing

Okay, so I did some reflection today. Here's what's going to happen. I feel like there's too much knowledge being horded by too few people in this community, so after Soldat embarrasses himself after his map release I'm going to create a series of videos that explain everything, everything I know about level design. 1st - I'm going to create a video with a logic sequence that proves objectivity in level design, I need to do this first because it'll serve as the foundation and springboard me into the other topics I want to cover. All the people who had the incorrect belief @xzamplez @a Chunk @GrayishPoppy210 and whoever else I'm going to circle back to you guys when the time comes to write the script to circle in on every conceivable argument you could ever have because I'm not doing a part 2 to this lol. 2nd - I'm going to have a second video that lays out how I define the different tiers of design styles and genres that your map could fall into. And what I believe is the best way to reach the top. This will probably be the one that resonates the most with people and gives people the most to work off of. 3rd - I'm going to show the full step by step process I'm undertaking to create my current project mp_temple or whatever it'll be called. I think there's going to be a lot of individual practices that people could learn from my process. If nothing else it'll be a cool perspective I think. 4th - I'll post a trailer and release mp_temple here and you clowns can dissect it and decide for yourselves if my process and beliefs leading up to this point actually manifest themselves in my work. Or just look at my other maps whatever 5th - goat can teach you guys how to make things pretty so I don't have to look at all of your ugly ass maps anymore. Also when soldat decides to finally grace us with the greatest forge map ever made I'm going to live stream myself and give my first impressions and thoughts on the designs for everyone here who won't load it up themselves.
