Welcome to the thread for the new Basketbomb court. Description about Basketbomb Basketbomb is a 'sport' on Foundry where 2 teams, (2 people per team), battle it out in a Basketball style game. The older version of the game was a big hit, that spread fast. The gametype is still the same, but the court has changed a little. Changes From v1 to v2 -Goals on the backboard are more centered, and turned correctly -The backboards have been replaced with signs -The outer walls have been moved out slightly farther -The outer walls have been flipped for a sleeker look -The 'Wall Hopers' have been enhanced to not 'slippery feet' -A jumbotron has been added -Spawns have been equalized Some Lingo That is Used Wall Hoping - Jumping of the edge of the wall to get a jump boost. Swing Boosting - Swinging the gravity hammer to push people down the map faster. Lead Blocking - The team mate guards the ball carrier closely 360 Slam - Going for a dunk, and add a 360 to it. Passing - Dropping the ball while a player picks it up. Alley Opp - Passing the ball in mid-air, and the catcher dunks. Two Stepping - When you grab the ball, and only take 2 steps, then score. Slippery feet - When you try to go one way, but are pushed another way, or you miss an easy goal. Some Things NOT to do - Complain about spawns. They are MEANT to be like that. You CAN spawn on the other teams side. It's not like Grifball. If you think there bad.. It's because you might not be playing right. If the other team is about to score, what's the point of running down there to try and stop them, if you know you can't.. Then if you do, they spawn back at your side, it's pointless. - Say, "Oh wow this is a rip of Grifball!11!wutlol111". This was created to be like Basketball. Not Grifball. I never even saw Grifball before I made this. The settings are different, and the goals are raised. Pictures Video - Disclaimer :: This is a video was made before the new court. Download Map / Gametype Other Info Is there an overtime for tied games? Yes. The game is changed to 1 round, and 2 minutes. Are there any online leagues for this? Yes. Halo3Sports.com offers a league for Basketbomb, and Racing.
Now that's the real stuff! This looks just like a basketball-arena! However, it could need some interlocking... Otherwise: 4.5/5! ps: ive been thinking of doing this for a long time. Now I just have to complete it lol. I'll post my version soon.
really cool vid. I like the turns with the dunks. But I does seem to be just an alteration of Grifball, which I know you addressed, I personally dislike Grifball, so I'm interested as to how this'll play out
Great job! I think its creative! you should put some shields on those stairs to make it look like a screen....Simple yet should be fun...Great job!
